1:1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying, 1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 1 ダリヨスの第二年の八月に、主の言葉がイドの子ベレキヤの子である預言者ゼカリヤに臨んだ、
1:2 “Yahweh was very displeased with your fathers. 2 The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers. 2 「主はあなたがたの先祖たちに対して、いたくお怒りになった。
1:3 Therefore tell them: Thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘Return to me,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘and I will return to you,’ says Yahweh of Armies. 3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. 3 それゆえ、万軍の主はこう仰せられると、彼らに告げよ。万軍の主は仰せられる、わたしに帰れ、そうすれば、わたしもあなたがたに帰ろうと、万軍の主は仰せられる。
1:4 Don’t you be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: Thus says Yahweh of Armies, ‘Return now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings;’ but they did not hear, nor listen to me, says Yahweh. 4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD. 4 あなたがたの先祖たちのようであってはならない。先の預言者たちは、彼らにむかって叫んで言った、『万軍の主はこう仰せられる、悪い道を離れ、悪いおこないを捨てて帰れ』と。しかし彼らは聞きいれず、耳をわたしに傾けなかったと主は言われる。
1:5 Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever? 5 あなたがたの先祖たち、彼らはどこにいるか。預言者たち、彼らは永遠に生きているのか。
1:6 But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers? “Then they repented and said, ‘Just as Yahweh of Armies determined to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’” 6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. 6 しかしわたしのしもべである預言者たちに命じたわが言葉と、わが定めとは、あなたがたの先祖たちに及んだではないか。それで彼らは立ち返って言った、『万軍の主がわれわれの道にしたがい、おこないに従って、われわれに、なそうと思い定められたように、そのとおりされたのだ』と」。
1:7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying, 7 Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 7 ダリヨスの第二年の十一月、すなわちセバテという月の二十四日に、主の言葉がイドの子ベレキヤの子である預言者ゼカリヤに臨んだ。そしてゼカリヤは言った、
1:8 “I had a vision in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in a ravine; and behind him there were red, brown, and white horses. 8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. 8 「わたしは夜、見ていると、ひとりの人が赤馬に乗って、谷間にあるミルトスの木の中に立ち、その後に赤馬、栗毛の馬、白馬がいた。
1:9 Then I asked, ‘My lord, what are these?’” The angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what these are.” 9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. 9 その時わたしが『わが主よ、これらはなんですか』と尋ねると、わたしと語る天の使は言った、『これがなんであるか、あなたに示しましょう』。
1:10 The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered, “They are the ones Yahweh has sent to go back and forth through the earth.” 10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth. 10 すると、ミルトスの木の中に立っている人が答えて、『これらは地を見回らせるために、主がつかわされた者です』と言うと、
1:11 They reported to the angel of Yahweh who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked back and forth through the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and in peace.” 11 And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. 11 彼らは答えて、ミルトスの中に立っている主の使に言った、『われわれは地を見回ったが、全地はすべて平穏です』。
1:12 Then the angel of Yahweh replied, “O Yahweh of Armies, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?” 12 Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years? 12 すると主の使は言った、『万軍の主よ、あなたは、いつまでエルサレムとユダの町々とを、あわれんで下さらないのですか。あなたはお怒りになって、すでに七十年になりました』。
1:13 Yahweh answered the angel who talked with me with kind and comforting words. 13 And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words. 13 主はわたしと語る天の使に、ねんごろな慰めの言葉をもって答えられた。
1:14 So the angel who talked with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. 14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. 14 そこで、わたしと語る天の使は言った、『あなたは呼ばわって言いなさい。万軍の主はこう仰せられます、わたしはエルサレムのため、シオンのために、大いなるねたみを起し、
1:15 I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, but they added to the calamity.” 15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. 15 安らかにいる国々の民に対して、大いに怒る。なぜなら、わたしが少しばかり怒ったのに、彼らは、大いにこれを悩ましたからであると。
1:16 Therefore thus says Yahweh: “I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy. My house shall be built in it,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and a line shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem.”’ 16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. 16 それゆえ、主はこう仰せられます、わたしはあわれみをもってエルサレムに帰る。わたしの家はその中に建てられ、測りなわはエルサレムに張られると、万軍の主は仰せられます。
1:17 “Proclaim further, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and Yahweh will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.”’” 17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. 17 あなたはまた呼ばわって言いなさい。万軍の主はこう仰せられます、わが町々は再び良い物で満ちあふれ、主は再びシオンを慰め、再びエルサレムを選ぶ』と」。
1:18 I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four horns. 18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. 18 わたしが目をあげて見ていると、見よ、四つの角があった。
1:19 I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” He answered me, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.” 19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. 19 わたしと語る天の使に「これらはなんですか」と言うと、彼は答えて言った、「これらはユダ、イスラエルおよびエルサレムを散らした角です」。
1:20 Yahweh showed me four craftsmen. 20 And the LORD shewed me four carpenters. 20 その時、主は四人の鍛冶をわたしに示された。
1:21 Then I asked, “What are these coming to do?” He said, “These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.” 21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it. 21 わたしが「これらは何をするために来たのですか」と言うと、彼は答えた、「これらの角はユダを散らして、人にその頭をあげさせなかったものですが、この四人の者が来たのは彼らをおどし、かのユダの地にむかって角をあげ、これを散らした国々の民の角を投げうつためです」。

2:1 I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. 1 I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand. 1 またわたしが目をあげて見ていると、見よ、ひとりの人が、測りなわを手に持っているので、
2:2 Then I asked, “Where are you going?” He said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.” 2 Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof. 2 「あなたはどこへ行くのですか」と尋ねると、その人はわたしに言った、「エルサレムを測って、その広さと、長さを見ようとするのです」。
2:3 Behold, the angel who talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him, 3 And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him, 3 すると見よ、わたしと語る天の使が出て行くと、またひとりの天の使が出てきて、これに出会って、
2:4 and said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. 4 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: 4 言った、「走って行って、あの若い人に言いなさい、『エルサレムはその中に、人と家畜が多くなるので、城壁のない村里のように、人の住む所となるでしょう。
2:5 For I,’ says Yahweh, ‘will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the midst of her. 5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. 5 主は仰せられます、わたしはその周囲で火の城壁となり、その中で栄光となる』と」。
2:6 Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,’ says Yahweh; ‘for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky,’ says Yahweh. 6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. 6 主は仰せられる、さあ、北の地から逃げて来なさい。わたしはあなたがたを、天の四方の風のように散らしたからである。
2:7 ‘Come, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.’ 7 Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. 7 さあ、バビロンの娘と共にいる者よ、シオンにのがれなさい。
2:8 For thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘For honor he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye. 8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. 8 あなたがたにさわる者は、彼の目の玉にさわるのであるから、あなたがたを捕えていった国々の民に、その栄光にしたがって、わたしをつかわされた万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、
2:9 For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they will be a spoil to those who served them; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me. 9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me. 9 「見よ、わたしは彼らの上に手を振る。彼らは自分に仕えた者のとりことなる。その時あなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをつかわされたことを知る。
2:10 Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for, behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you,’ says Yahweh. 10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. 10 主は言われる、シオンの娘よ、喜び歌え。わたしが来て、あなたの中に住むからである。
2:11 Many nations shall join themselves to Yahweh in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. 11 And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. 11 その日には、多くの国民が主に連なって、わたしの民となる。わたしはあなたの中に住む。
2:12 Yahweh will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem. 12 And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. 12 あなたは万軍の主が、わたしをあなたにつかわされたことを知る。主は聖地で、ユダを自分の分として取り、エルサレムを再び選ばれるであろう」。
2:13 Be silent, all flesh, before Yahweh; for he has roused himself from his holy habitation!” 13 Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. 13 すべて肉なる者よ、主の前に静まれ。主はその聖なるすみかから立ちあがられたからである。

3:1 He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Yahweh, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary. 1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. 1 時に主は大祭司ヨシュアが、主の使の前に立ち、サタンがその右に立って、これを訴えているのをわたしに示された。
3:2 Yahweh said to Satan, “Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?” 2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? 2 主はサタンに言われた、「サタンよ、主はあなたを責めるのだ。すなわちエルサレムを選んだ主はあなたを責めるのだ。これは火の中から取り出した燃えさしではないか」。
3:3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel. 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. 3 ヨシュアは汚れた衣を着て、み使の前に立っていたが、
3:4 He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off of him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.” 4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. 4 み使は自分の前に立っている者どもに言った、「彼の汚れた衣を脱がせなさい」。またヨシュアに向かって言った、「見よ、わたしはあなたの罪を取り除いた。あなたに祭服を着せよう」。
3:5 I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and the angel of Yahweh was standing by. 5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by. 5 わたしは言った、「清い帽子を頭にかぶらせなさい」。そこで清い帽子を頭にかぶらせ、衣を彼に着せた。主の使はかたわらに立っていた。
3:6 The angel of Yahweh protested to Joshua, saying, 6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying, 6 主の使は、ヨシュアを戒めて言った、
3:7 “Thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by. 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. 7 「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、あなたがもし、わたしの道に歩み、わたしの務を守るならば、わたしの家をつかさどり、わたしの庭を守ることができる。わたしはまた、ここに立っている者どもの中に行き来することを得させる。
3:8 Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you; for they are men who are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant, the Branch. 8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. 8 大祭司ヨシュアよ、あなたも、あなたの前にすわっている同僚たちも聞きなさい。彼らはよいしるしとなるべき人々だからである。見よ、わたしはわたしのしもべなる枝を生じさせよう。
3:9 For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes: behold, I will engrave its engraving,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. 9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. 9 万軍の主は言われる、見よ、ヨシュアの前にわたしが置いた石の上に、すなわち七つの目をもっているこの一つの石の上に、わたしはみずから文字を彫刻する。そしてわたしはこの地の罪を、一日の内に取り除く。
3:10 In that day,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘you will invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.’” 10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree. 10 万軍の主は言われる、その日には、あなたがたはめいめいその隣り人を招いて、ぶどうの木の下、いちじくの木の下に座すのである」。

4:1 The angel who talked with me came again, and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. 1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep. 1 わたしと語った天の使がまた来て、わたしを呼びさました。わたしは眠りから呼びさまされた人のようであった。
4:2 He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I have seen, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are on the top of it; 2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 2 彼がわたしに向かって「何を見るか」と言ったので、わたしは言った、「わたしが見ていると、すべて金で造られた燭台が一つあって、その上に油を入れる器があり、また燭台の上に七つのともしび皿があり、そのともしび皿は燭台の上にあって、これにおのおの七本ずつの管があります。
4:3 and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it.” 3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 3 また燭台のかたわらに、オリブの木が二本あって、一本は油をいれる器の右にあり、一本はその左にあります」。
4:4 I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?” 4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 4 わたしはまたわたしと語る天の使に言った、「わが主よ、これらはなんですか」。
4:5 Then the angel who talked with me answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” 5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 5 わたしと語る天の使は答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、わたしは「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。
4:6 Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the word of Yahweh to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies. 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. 6 すると彼はわたしに言った、「ゼルバベルに、主がお告げになる言葉はこれです。万軍の主は仰せられる、これは権勢によらず、能力によらず、わたしの霊によるのである。
4:7 Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace, to it!’” 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. 7 大いなる山よ、おまえは何者か。おまえはゼルバベルの前に平地となる。彼は『恵みあれ、これに恵みあれ』と呼ばわりながら、かしら石を引き出すであろう」。
4:8 Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 8 主の言葉がわたしに臨んで言うには、
4:9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. 9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. 9 「ゼルバベルの手はこの宮の礎をすえた。彼の手はこれを完成する。その時あなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをあなたがたにつかわされたことを知る。
4:10 Indeed, who despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are the eyes of Yahweh, which run back and forth through the whole earth.” 10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. 10 だれでも小さい事の日をいやしめた者は、ゼルバベルの手に、下げ振りのあるのを見て、喜ぶ。これらの七つのものは、あまねく全地を行き来する主の目である」。
4:11 Then I asked him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?” 11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 11 わたしはまた彼に尋ねて、「燭台の左右にある、この二本のオリブの木はなんですか」と言い、
4:12 I asked him the second time, “What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that pour the golden oil out of themselves?” 12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? 12 重ねてまた「この二本の金の管によって、油をそれから注ぎ出すオリブの二枝はなんですか」と言うと、
4:13 He answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” 13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 13 彼はわたしに答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。

5:1 Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll. 1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll. 1 わたしがまた目をあげて見ていると、飛んでいる巻物を見た。
5:2 He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its breadth ten cubits.” 2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. 2 彼がわたしに「何を見るか」と言ったので、「飛んでいる巻物を見ます。その長さは二十キュビト、その幅は十キュビトです」と答えた。
5:3 Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land; for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side. 3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. 3 すると彼はまた、わたしに言った、「これは全地のおもてに出て行く、のろいの言葉です。すべて盗む者はこれに照して除き去られ、すべて偽り誓う者は、これに照して除き去られるのです。
5:4 I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the midst of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.” 4 I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof. 4 万軍の主は仰せられます、わたしはこれを出て行かせる。これは盗む者の家に入り、またわたしの名をさして偽り誓う者の家に入り、その家の中に宿って、これをその木と石と共に滅ぼすと」。
5:5 Then the angel who talked with me came forward, and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes, and see what is this that is appearing.” 5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. 5 わたしと語る天の使は進んで来て、わたしに「目をあげて、この出てきた物が、なんであるかを見なさい」と言った。
5:6 I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land 6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. 6 わたしが「これはなんですか」と言うと、彼は「この出てきた物は、エパ枡です」と言い、また「これは全地の罪です」と言った。
5:7 (and behold, a talent of lead was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah basket.” 7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. 7 そして見よ、鉛のふたを取りあげると、そのエパ枡の中にひとりの女がすわっていた。
5:8 He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the midst of the ephah basket; and he threw the weight of lead on its mouth. 8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. 8 すると彼は「これは罪悪である」と言って、その女をエパ枡の中に押し入れ、鉛の重しを、その枡の口に投げかぶせた。
5:9 Then lifted I up my eyes, and saw, and behold, there were two women, and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky. 9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. 9 それからわたしが目をあげて見ていると、ふたりの女が出てきた。これに、こうのとりの翼のような翼があり、その翼に風をはらんで、エパ枡を天と地との間に持ちあげた。
5:10 Then said I to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?” 10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? 10 わたしは、わたしと語る天の使に言った、「彼らはエパ枡を、どこへ持って行くのですか」。
5:11 He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.” 11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base. 11 彼はわたしに言った、「シナルの地で、女たちのために家を建てるのです。それが建てられると、彼らはエパ枡をそこにすえ、それの土台の上に置くのです」。

6:1 Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. 1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. 1 わたしがまた目をあげて見ていると、四両の戦車が二つの山の間から出てきた。その山は青銅の山であった。
6:2 In the first chariot were red horses; in the second chariot black horses; 2 In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; 2 第一の戦車には赤馬を着け、第二の戦車には黒馬を着け、
6:3 in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot dappled horses, all of them powerful. 3 And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. 3 第三の戦車には白馬を着け、第四の戦車には、まだらのねずみ色の馬を着けていた。
6:4 Then I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” 4 Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? 4 わたしは、わたしと語るみ使に尋ねた、「わが主よ、これらはなんですか」。
6:5 The angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. 5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the LORD of all the earth. 5 天の使は答えて、わたしに言った、「これらは全地の主の前に現れて後、天の四方に出て行くものです。
6:6 The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went forth toward the south country.” 6 The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. 6 黒馬を着けた戦車は、北の国をさして出て行き、白馬は西の国をさして出て行き、まだらの馬は南の国をさして出て行くのです」。
6:7 The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth: and he said, “Go around and through the earth!” So they walked back and forth through the earth. 7 And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. 6:8 Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.” 8 Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country. 8 すると彼はわたしを呼んで、「北の国をさして行く者どもは、北の国でわたしの心を静まらせてくれた」と言った。
6:9 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 9 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 9 主の言葉がまたわたしに臨んだ、
6:10 “Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon. 10 Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah; 10 「バビロンから帰ってきたかの捕囚の中から、ヘルダイ、トビヤおよびエダヤを連れて、その日にゼパニヤの子ヨシヤの家に行き、

6:12 and speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build the temple of Yahweh; 12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: 12 彼に言いなさい、『万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、見よ、その名を枝という人がある。彼は自分の場所で成長して、主の宮を建てる。
6:13 even he shall build the temple of Yahweh; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. 13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. 13 すなわち彼は主の宮を建て、王としての光栄を帯び、その位に座して治める。その位のかたわらに、ひとりの祭司がいて、このふたりの間に平和の一致がある』。
6:14 The crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Yahweh. 14 And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD. 14 またその冠はヘルダイ、トビヤ、エダヤおよびゼパニヤの子ヨシヤの記念として、主の宮に納められる。
6:15 Those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of Yahweh; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey the voice of Yahweh your God.”’” 15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God. 15 また遠い所の者どもが来て、主の宮を建てることを助ける。そしてあなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをつかわされたことを知るようになる。あなたがたがもし励んで、あなたがたの神、主の声に聞き従うならば、このようになる」。

7:1 It happened in the fourth year of king Darius that the word of Yahweh came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev. 1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu; 1 ダリヨス王の第四年の九月、すなわちキスリウという月の四日に、主の言葉がゼカリヤに臨んだ。
7:2 The people of Bethel sent Sharezer and Regem Melech, and their men, to entreat Yahweh’s favor, 2 When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD, 2 その時ベテルの人々は、シャレゼル、レゲン・メレクおよびその従者をつかわして、主の恵みを請い、
7:3 and to speak to the priests of the house of Yahweh of Armies, and to the prophets, saying, “Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?” 3 And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years? 3 かつ万軍の主の宮にいる祭司に問わせ、かつ預言者に問わせて言った、「わたしは今まで、多年おこなってきたように、五月に泣き悲しみ、かつ断食すべきでしょうか」。
7:4 Then the word of Yahweh of Armies came to me, saying, 4 Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying, 4 この時、万軍の主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
7:5 “Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh month for these seventy years, did you at all fast to me, really to me? 5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? 5 「地のすべての民、および祭司に告げて言いなさい、あなたがたが七十年の間、五月と七月とに断食し、かつ泣き悲しんだ時、はたして、わたしのために断食したか。
7:6 When you eat, and when you drink, don’t you eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves? 6 And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves? 6 あなたがたが食い飲みする時、それは全く自分のために食い、自分のために飲むのではないか。
7:7 Aren’t these the words which Yahweh proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and its cities around her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?’” 7 Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain? 7 昔エルサレムがその周囲の町々と共に、人が住み、栄えていた時、また南の地および平野にも、人が住んでいた時に、さきの預言者たちによって、主がお告げになった言葉は、これらの事ではなかったか」。
7:8 The word of Yahweh came to Zechariah, saying, 8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying, 8 主の言葉が、またゼカリヤに臨んだ、
7:9 “Thus has Yahweh of Armies spoken, saying, ‘Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother. 9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: 9 「万軍の主はこう仰せられる、真実のさばきを行い、互に相いつくしみ、相あわれみ、
7:10 Don’t oppress the widow, nor the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.’ 10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. 10 やもめ、みなしご、寄留の他国人および貧しい人を、しえたげてはならない。互に人を害することを、心に図ってはならない」。
7:11 But they refused to listen, and turned their backs, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear. 11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. 11 ところが、彼らは聞くことを拒み、肩をそびやかし、耳を鈍くして聞きいれず、
7:12 Yes, they made their hearts as hard as flint, lest they might hear the law, and the words which Yahweh of Armies had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from Yahweh of Armies. 12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts. 12 その心を金剛石のようにして、万軍の主がそのみたまにより、さきの預言者によって伝えられた、律法と言葉とに聞き従わなかった。それゆえ、大いなる怒りが、万軍の主から出て、彼らに臨んだのである。
7:13 It has come to pass that, as he called, and they refused to listen, so they will call, and I will not listen,” said Yahweh of Armies; 13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts: 13 「わたしが呼ばわったけれども、彼らは聞こうとしなかった。そのとおりに、彼らが呼ばわっても、わたしは聞かない」と万軍の主は仰せられる。
7:14 “but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned: for they made the pleasant land desolate.” 14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate. 14 「わたしは、つむじ風をもって、彼らを未知のもろもろの国民の中に散らした。こうして彼らが去った後、この地は荒れて行き来する者もなく、この麗しい地は荒れ地となったのである」。

8:1 The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me. 1 Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, 1 万軍の主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
8:2 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.” 2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. 2 「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『わたしはシオンのために、大いなるねたみを起し、またこれがために、大いなる憤りをもってねたむ』。
8:3 Thus says Yahweh: “I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called ‘The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of Yahweh of Armies, ‘The Holy Mountain.’” 3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. 3 主はこう仰せられる、『わたしはシオンに帰って、エルサレムの中に住む。エルサレムは忠信な町ととなえられ、万軍の主の山は聖なる山と、となえられる』。
8:4 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Old men and old women will again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age. 4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. 4 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『エルサレムの街路には再び老いた男、老いた女が座するようになる。みな年寄の人々で、おのおのつえを手に持つ。
8:5 The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.” 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. 5 またその町の街路には、男の子、女の子が満ちて、街路に遊び戯れる』。
8:6 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?” says Yahweh of Armies. 6 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts. 6 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『その日には、たとい、この民の残れる者の目に、不思議な事であっても、それはわたしの目にも、不思議な事であろうか』と万軍の主は言われる。
8:7 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; 7 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『見よ、わが民を東の国から、また西の国から救い出し、
8:8 and I will bring them, and they will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.” 8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness. 8 彼らを連れてきて、エルサレムに住まわせ、彼らはわが民となり、わたしは彼らの神となって、共に真実と正義とをもって立つ』」。
8:9 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the house of Yahweh of Armies was laid, even the temple, that it might be built. 9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. 9 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、「万軍の主の家である宮を建てるために、その礎をすえた日からこのかた、預言者たちの口から出たこれらの言葉を、きょう聞く者よ、あなたがたの手を強くせよ。
8:10 For before those days there was no wages for man, nor any wages for an animal; neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor. 10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour. 10 この日の以前には、人も働きの価を得ず、獣も働きの価を得ず、また出る者もはいる者も、あだのために安全ではなかった。わたしはまた人々を相たがいにそむかせた。
8:11 But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days,” says Yahweh of Armies. 11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. 11 しかし今は、わたしのこの民の残れる者に対することは、さきの日のようではないと、万軍の主は言われる。
8:12 “For the seed of peace and the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things. 12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. 12 そこには、平和と繁栄との種がまかれるからである。すなわちぶどうの木は実を結び、地は産物を出し、天は露を与える。わたしはこの民の残れる者に、これをことごとく与える。
8:13 It shall come to pass that, as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Don’t be afraid. Let your hands be strong.” 13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. 13 ユダの家およびイスラエルの家よ、あなたがたが、国々の民の中に、のろいとなっていたように、わたしはあなたがたを救って祝福とする。恐れてはならない。あなたがたの手を強くせよ」。
8:14 For thus says Yahweh of Armies: “As I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and I didn’t repent; 14 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: 14 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、「あなたがたの先祖が、わたしを怒らせた時に、災を下そうと思って、これをやめなかったように、―万軍の主は言われる―
8:15 so again have I thought in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Don’t be afraid. 15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not. 15 そのように、わたしはまた今日、エルサレムとユダの家に恵みを与えよう。恐れてはならない。
8:16 These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates, 16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: 16 あなたがたのなすべき事はこれである。あなたがたは互に真実を語り、またあなたがたの門で、真実と平和のさばきとを、行わなければならない。
8:17 and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor, and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate,” says Yahweh. 17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD. 17 あなたがたは、互に人を害することを、心に図ってはならない。偽りの誓いを好んではならない。わたしはこれらの事を憎むからであると、主は言われる」。
8:18 The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me. 18 And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying, 18 万軍の主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
8:19 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “The fasts of the fourth fifth, seventh, and tenth months shall be for the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.” 19 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace. 19 「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、四月の断食と、五月の断食と、七月の断食と、十月の断食とは、ユダの家の喜び楽しみの時となり、よき祝の時となる。ゆえにあなたがたは、真実と平和とを愛せよ。

8:21 and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’ 21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. 21 『われわれは、ただちに行って、主の恵みを請い、万軍の主に呼び求めよう』と言うと、『わたしも行こう』と言う。
8:22 Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.” 22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. 22 多くの民および強い国民はエルサレムに来て、万軍の主を求め、主の恵みを請う。
8:23 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’” 23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. 23 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、その日には、もろもろの国ことばの民の中から十人の者が、ひとりのユダヤ人の衣のすそをつかまえて、『あなたがたと一緒に行こう。神があなたがたと共にいますことを聞いたから』と言う」。

9:1 An oracle. The word of Yahweh is against the land of Hadrach, and will rest upon Damascus;for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is toward Yahweh; 1 The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD. 1 託宣主の言葉はハデラクの地に臨み、ダマスコの上にとどまる。アラムの町々はイスラエルのすべての部族のように主に属するからである。
9:2 and Hamath, also, which borders on it; Tyre and Sidon, because they are very wise. 2 And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise. 2 これに境するハマテもまたそのとおりだ。非常に賢いが、ツロとシドンもまた同様である。
9:3 Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver like the dust,and fine gold like the mire of the streets. 3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets. 3 ツロは自分のために、とりでを築き、銀をちりのように積み、金を道ばたの泥のように積んだ。
9:4 Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will strike her power in the sea;and she will be devoured with fire. 4 Behold, the LORD will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire. 4 しかし見よ、主はこれを攻め取り、その富を海の中に投げ入れられる。これは火で焼き滅ぼされる。
9:5 Ashkelon will see it, and fear; Gaza also, and will writhe in agony;as will Ekron, for her expectation will be disappointed; and the king will perish from Gaza,and Ashkelon will not be inhabited. 5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. 5 アシケロンはこれを見て恐れ、ガザもまた見てもだえ苦しみ、エクロンもまたその望む所のものがはずかしめられて苦しむ。ガザには王が絶え、アシケロンには住む者がなくなり、

9:7 I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; and he also will be a remnant for our God;and he will be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite. 7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite. 7 またその口から血を取り除き、その歯の間から憎むべき物を取り除く。これもまた残ってわれわれの神に帰し、ユダの一民族のようになる。またエクロンはエブスびとのようになる。
9:8 I will encamp around my house against the army, that none pass through or return; and no oppressor will pass through them any more:for now I have seen with my eyes. 8 And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes. 8 その時わたしは、わが家のために営を張って、見張りをし、行き来する者のないようにする。しえたげる者は、かさねて通ることがない。わたしが今、自分の目で見ているからである。
9:9 Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation;lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. 9 シオンの娘よ、大いに喜べ、エルサレムの娘よ、呼ばわれ。見よ、あなたの王はあなたの所に来る。彼は義なる者であって勝利を得、柔和であって、ろばに乗る。すなわち、ろばの子である子馬に乗る。
9:10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow will be cut off;and he will speak peace to the nations: and his dominion will be from sea to sea,and from the River to the ends of the earth. 10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. 10 わたしはエフライムから戦車を断ち、エルサレムから軍馬を断つ。また、いくさ弓も断たれる。彼は国々の民に平和を告げ、その政治は海から海に及び、大川から地の果にまで及ぶ。
9:11 As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant,I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water. 11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. 11 あなたについてはまた、あなたとの契約の血のゆえに、わたしはかの水のない穴から、あなたの捕われ人を解き放す。
9:12 Turn to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope! Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. 12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee; 12 望みをいだく捕われ人よ、あなたの城に帰れ。わたしはきょうもなお告げて言う、必ず倍して、あなたをもとに返すことを。
9:13 For indeed I bend Judah as a bow for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up your sons, Zion,against your sons, Greece, and will make you like the sword of a mighty man. 13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. 13 わたしはユダを張って、わが弓となし、エフライムをその矢とした。シオンよ、わたしはあなたの子らを呼び起して、ギリシヤの人々を攻めさせ、あなたを勇士のつるぎのようにさせる。
9:14 Yahweh will be seen over them; and his arrow will go flash like lightning; and the Lord Yahweh will blow the trumpet,and will go with whirlwinds of the south. 14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. 14 その時、主は彼らの上に現れて、その矢をいなずまのように射られる。主なる神はラッパを吹きならし、南のつむじ風に乗って出てこられる。
9:15 Yahweh of Armies will defend them; and they will destroy and overcome with sling stones;and they will drink, and roar as through wine; and they will be filled like bowls,like the corners of the altar. 15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. 15 万軍の主は彼らを守られるので、彼らは石投げどもを食い尽し、踏みつける。彼らはまたぶどう酒のように彼らの血を飲み、鉢のようにそれで満たされ、祭壇のすみのように浸される。
9:16 Yahweh their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for they are like the jewels of a crown,lifted on high over his land. 16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. 16 その日、彼らの神、主は、彼らを救い、その民を羊のように養われる。彼らは冠の玉のように、その地に輝く。
9:17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins. 17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids. 17 そのさいわい、その麗しさは、いかばかりであろう。穀物は若者を栄えさせ、新しいぶどう酒は、おとめを栄えさせる。

10:1 Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds,and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field. 1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. 1 あなたがたは春の雨の時に、雨を主に請い求めよ。主はいなずまを造り、大雨を人々に賜い、野の青草をおのおのに賜わる。
10:2 For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie;and they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain.Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd. 2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd. 2 テラピムは、たわごとを言い、占い師は偽りを見、夢見る者は偽りの夢を語り、むなしい慰めを与える。このゆえに、民は羊のようにさまよい、牧者がないために悩む。
10:3 My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats; For Yahweh of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Judah,and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle. 3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle. 3 「わが怒りは牧者にむかって燃え、わたしは雄やぎを罰する。万軍の主が、その群れの羊であるユダの家を顧み、これをみごとな軍馬のようにされるからである。
10:4 From him will come forth the cornerstone, from him the nail,from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together. 4 Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together. 4 隅石は彼らから出、天幕の杭も彼らから出、いくさ弓も彼らから出、支配者も皆彼らの中から出る。
10:5 They shall be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle;and they shall fight, because Yahweh is with them; and the riders on horses will be confounded. 5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded. 5 彼らが戦う時は勇士のようになって、道ばたの泥の中に敵を踏みにじる。主が彼らと共におられるゆえに彼らは戦い、馬に乗る者どもを困らせる。
10:6 “I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back;for I have mercy on them; and they will be as though I had not cast them off:for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them. 6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them. 6 わたしはユダの家を強くし、ヨセフの家を救う。わたしは彼らをあわれんで、彼らを連れ帰る。彼らはわたしに捨てられたことのないようになる。わたしは彼らの神、主であって、彼らに答えるからである。
10:7 Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine;yes, their children will see it, and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh. 7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. 7 エフライムびとは勇士のようになり、その心は酒を飲んだように喜ぶ。その子供らはこれを見て喜び、その心は主によって楽しむ。
10:8 I will signal for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them; and they will increase as they have increased. 8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. 8 わたしは彼らに向かい、口笛を吹いて彼らを集める、わたしが彼らをあがなったからである。彼らは昔のように数多くなる。
10:9 I will sow them among the peoples; and they will remember me in far countries; and they will live with their children, and will return. 9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. 9 わたしは彼らを国々の民の中に散らした。しかし彼らは遠い国々でわたしを覚え、その子供らと共に生きながらえて帰ってくる。
10:10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon;and there won’t be room enough for them. 10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them. 10 わたしは彼らをエジプトの国から連れ帰り、アッスリヤから彼らを集める。わたしはギレアデの地およびレバノンに彼らを連れて行く。彼らはいる所もないほどに多くなる。
10:11 He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea,and all the depths of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down,and the scepter of Egypt will depart. 11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away. 11 彼らはエジプトの海を通る。海の波は撃たれ、ナイルの淵はことごとくかれた。アッスリヤの高ぶりは低くされ、エジプトのつえは移り去る。
10:12 I will strengthen them in Yahweh; and they will walk up and down in his name,” says Yahweh. 12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD. 12 わたしは彼らを主によって強くする。彼らは主の名を誇る」と主は言われる。

11:1 Open your doors, Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars. 1 Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars. 1 レバノンよ、おまえの門を開き、おまえの香柏を火に焼き滅ぼさせよ。
11:2 Wail, fir tree, for the cedar has fallen, because the stately ones are destroyed. Wail, you oaks of Bashan,for the strong forest has come down. 2 Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down. 2 いとすぎよ、泣き叫べ。香柏は倒れ、みごとな木は、そこなわれたからである。バシャンのかしよ、泣き叫べ。茂った林は倒れたからである。
11:3 A voice of the wailing of the shepherds! For their glory is destroyed: a voice of the roaring of young lions! For the pride of the Jordan is ruined. 3 There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled. 3 聞け、牧者の泣き叫ぶ声を。彼らの栄えが消え去ったからである。聞け、ししのほえる声を。ヨルダンの草むらが荒れ果てたからである。
11:4 Thus says Yahweh my God: “Feed the flock of slaughter. 4 Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter; 4 わが神、主はこう仰せられた、「ほふらるべき羊の群れの牧者となれ。
11:5 Their buyers slaughter them, and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be Yahweh, for I am rich;’ and their own shepherds don’t pity them. 5 Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not. 5 これを買う者は、これをほふっても罰せられない。これを売る者は言う、『主はほむべきかな、わたしは富んだ』と。そしてその牧者は、これをあわれまない。
11:6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land,” says Yahweh; “but, behold, I will deliver the men everyone into his neighbor’s hand, and into the hand of his king. They will strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.” 6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them. 6 わたしは、もはやこの地の住民をあわれまないと、主は言われる。見よ、わたしは人をおのおのその牧者の手に渡し、おのおのその王の手に渡す。彼らは地を荒す。わたしは彼らの手からこれを救い出さない」。
11:7 So I fed the flock of slaughter, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called “Favor,” and the other I called “Union,” and I fed the flock. 7 And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock. 7 わたしは羊の商人のために、ほふらるべき羊の群れの牧者となった。わたしは二本のつえを取り、その一本を恵みと名づけ、一本を結びと名づけて、その羊を牧した。
11:8 I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me. 8 Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me. 8 わたしは一か月に牧者三人を滅ぼした。わたしは彼らに、がまんしきれなくなったが、彼らもまた、わたしを忌みきらった。
11:9 Then I said, “I will not feed you. That which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let those who are left eat each other’s flesh.” 9 Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another. 9 それでわたしは言った、「わたしはあなたがたの牧者とならない。死ぬ者は死に、滅びる者は滅び、残った者はたがいにその肉を食いあうがよい」。
11:10 I took my staff Favor, and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples. 10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. 10 わたしは恵みというつえを取って、これを折った。これはわたしがもろもろの民と結んだ契約を、廃するためであった。
11:11 It was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that listened to me knew that it was the word of Yahweh. 11 And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD. 11 そしてこれは、その日に廃された。そこで、わたしに目を注いでいた羊の商人らは、これが主の言葉であったことを知った。
11:12 I said to them, “If you think it best, give me my wages; and if not, keep them.” So they weighed for my wages thirty pieces of silver. 12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 12 わたしは彼らに向かって、「あなたがたがもし、よいと思うならば、わたしに賃銀を払いなさい。もし、いけなければやめなさい」と言ったので、彼らはわたしの賃銀として、銀三十シケルを量った。
11:13 Yahweh said to me, “Throw it to the potter, the handsome price that I was valued at by them!” I took the thirty pieces of silver, and threw them to the potter, in the house of Yahweh. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. 13 主はわたしに言われた、「彼らによって、わたしが値積られたその尊い価を、宮のさいせん箱に投げ入れよ」。わたしは銀三十シケルを取って、これを主の宮のさいせん箱に投げ入れた。
11:14 Then I cut apart my other staff, even Union, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. 14 Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. 14 そしてわたしは結びという第二のつえを折った。これはユダとイスラエルの間の、兄弟関係を廃するためであった。
11:15 Yahweh said to me, “Take for yourself yet again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. 15 And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd. 15 主はわたしに言われた、「おまえはまた愚かな牧者の器を取れ。
11:16 For, behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those who are cut off, neither will seek those who are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the flesh of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces. 16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces. 16 見よ、わたしは地にひとりの牧者を起す。彼は滅ぼされる者を顧みず、迷える者を尋ねず、傷ついた者をいやさず、健やかな者を養わず、肥えた者の肉を食らい、そのひずめをさえ裂く者である。
11:17 Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will be on his arm, and on his right eye. His arm will be completely withered, and his right eye will be totally blinded!” 17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened. 17 その羊の群れを捨てる愚かな牧者はわざわいだ。どうか、つるぎがその腕を撃ち、その右の目を撃つように。その腕は全く衰え、その右の目は全く見えなくなるように」。

12:1 An oracle. The word of Yahweh concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says: 1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. 1 託宣イスラエルについての主の言葉。すなわち天をのべ、地の基をすえ、人の霊をその中に造られた主は、こう仰せられる、
12:2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Judah also will it be in the siege against Jerusalem. 2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 2 「見よ、わたしはエルサレムを、その周囲にあるすべての民をよろめかす杯にしようとしている。これはエルサレムの攻め囲まれる時、ユダにも及ぶ。
12:3 It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it. 3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. 3 その日には、わたしはエルサレムをすべての民に対して重い石とする。これを持ちあげる者はみな大傷を受ける。地の国々の民は皆集まって、これを攻める。
12:4 In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. 4 主は言われる、その日には、わたしはすべての馬を撃って驚かせ、その乗り手を撃って狂わせる。しかし、もろもろの民の馬を、ことごとく撃って、めくらとするとき、ユダの家に対しては、わたしの目を開く。
12:5 The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Yahweh of Armies their God.’ 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God. 5 その時ユダの諸族は、その心の中に『エルサレムの住民は、その神、万軍の主によって力強くなった』と言う。
12:6 In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they will devour all the surrounding peoples, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem. 6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. 6 その日には、わたしはユダの諸族を、たきぎの中の火皿のようにし、麦束の中のたいまつのようにする。彼らは右に左に、その周囲にあるすべての民を、焼き滅ぼす。しかしエルサレムはなお、そのもとの所、すなわちエルサレムで、人の住む所となる。
12:7 Yahweh also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah. 7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. 7 主はまずユダの幕屋を救われる。これはダビデの家の光栄と、エルサレムの住民の光栄とが、ユダの光栄にまさることのないようにするためである。
12:8 In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh before them. 8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. 8 その日、主はエルサレムの住民を守られる。彼らの中の弱い者も、その日には、ダビデのようになる。またダビデの家は神のように、彼らに先だつ主の使のようになる。
12:9 It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 9 その日には、わたしはエルサレムに攻めて来る国民を、ことごとく滅ぼそうと努める。
12:10 I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. 10 わたしはダビデの家およびエルサレムの住民に、恵みと祈の霊とを注ぐ。彼らはその刺した者を見る時、ひとり子のために嘆くように彼のために嘆き、ういごのために悲しむように、彼のためにいたく悲しむ。

13:1 “In that day there will be a spring opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness. 1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. 1 その日には、罪と汚れとを清める一つの泉が、ダビデの家とエルサレムの住民とのために開かれる。
13:2 It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will be remembered no more. I will also cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land. 2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. 2 万軍の主は言われる、その日には、わたしは地から偶像の名を取り除き、重ねて人に覚えられることのないようにする。わたしはまた預言者および汚れの霊を、地から去らせる。
13:3 It will happen that, when anyone still prophesies, then his father and his mother who bore him will tell him, ‘You must die, because you speak lies in the name of Yahweh;’ and his father and his mother who bore him will stab him when he prophesies. 3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. 3 もし、人が今後預言するならば、その産みの父母はこれにむかって、『あなたは主の名をもって偽りを語るゆえ、生きていることができない』と言い、その産みの父母は彼が預言している時、彼を刺すであろう。
13:4 It will happen in that day, that the prophets will each be ashamed of his vision, when he prophesies; neither will they wear a hairy mantle to deceive: 4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive: 4 その日には、預言者たちは皆預言する時、その幻を恥じる。また人を欺くための毛の上着を着ない。
13:5 but he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondservant from my youth.’ 5 But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth. 5 そして『わたしは預言者ではない、わたしは土地を耕す者だ。若い時から土地を持っている』と言う。
13:6 One will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’ 6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. 6 もし、人が彼に『あなたの背中の傷は何か』と尋ねるならば、『これはわたしの友だちの家で受けた傷だ』と、彼は言うであろう」。
13:7 “Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says Yahweh of Armies.“Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones. 7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 7 万軍の主は言われる、「つるぎよ、立ち上がってわが牧者を攻めよ。わたしの次に立つ人を攻めよ。牧者を撃て、その羊は散る。わたしは手をかえして、小さい者どもを攻める。
13:8 It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh, “two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it. 8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 8 主は言われる、全地の人の三分の二は断たれて死に、三分の一は生き残る。
13:9 I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested.They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, ‘It is my people;’and they will say, ‘Yahweh is my God.’” 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. 9 わたしはこの三分の一を火の中に入れ、銀をふき分けるように、これをふき分け、金を精錬するように、これを精錬する。彼らはわたしの名を呼び、わたしは彼らに答える。わたしは『彼らはわが民である』と言い、彼らは『主はわが神である』と言う」。

14:1 Behold, a day of Yahweh comes, when your spoil will be divided in your midst. 1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 1 見よ、主の日が来る。その時あなたの奪われた物は、あなたの中で分かたれる。
14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 2 わたしは万国の民を集めて、エルサレムを攻め撃たせる。町は取られ、家はかすめられ、女は犯され、町の半ばは捕えられて行く。しかし残りの民は町から断たれることはない。
14:3 Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 3 その時、主は出てきて、いくさの日にみずから戦われる時のように、それらの国びとと戦われる。
14:4 His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two, from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 4 その日には彼の足が、東の方エルサレムの前にあるオリブ山の上に立つ。そしてオリブ山は、非常に広い一つの谷によって、東から西に二つに裂け、その山の半ばは北に、半ばは南に移り、
14:5 You shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel; yes, you shall flee, just like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with you. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. 5 わが山の谷はふさがれる。裂けた山の谷が、そのかたわらに接触するからである。そして、あなたがたはユダの王ウジヤの世に、地震を避けて逃げたように逃げる。こうして、あなたがたの神、主はこられる、もろもろの聖者と共にこられる。
14:6 It will happen in that day, that there will not be light, cold, or frost. 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 6 その日には、寒さも霜もない。
14:7 It will be a unique day which is known to Yahweh; not day, and not night; but it will come to pass, that at evening time there will be light. 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. 7 そこには長い連続した日がある(主はこれを知られる)。これには昼もなく、夜もない。夕暮になっても、光があるからである。
14:8 It will happen in that day, that living waters will go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea; in summer and in winter will it be. 8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 8 その日には、生ける水がエルサレムから流れ出て、その半ばは東の海に、その半ばは西の海に流れ、夏も冬もやむことがない。
14:9 Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one. 9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. 9 主は全地の王となられる。その日には、主ひとり、その名一つのみとなる。
14:10 All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she will be lifted up, and will dwell in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses. 10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. 10 全地はゲバからエルサレムの南リンモンまで、平地のように変る。しかしエルサレムは高くなって、そのもとの所にとどまり、ベニヤミンの門から、先にあった門の所に及び、隅の門に至り、ハナネルのやぐらから、王の酒ぶねにまで及ぶ。
14:11 Men will dwell therein, and there will be no more curse; but Jerusalem will dwell safely. 11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. 11 その中には人が住み、もはやのろいはなく、エルサレムは安らかに立つ。
14:12 This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who have warred against Jerusalem: their flesh will consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will consume away in their sockets, and their tongue will consume away in their mouth. 12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. 12 エルサレムを攻撃したもろもろの民を、主は災をもって撃たれる。すなわち彼らはなお足で立っているうちに、その肉は腐れ、目はその穴の中で腐れ、舌はその口の中で腐れる。
14:13 It will happen in that day, that a great panic from Yahweh will be among them; and they will lay hold everyone on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. 13 その日には、主は彼らを大いにあわてさせられるので、彼らはおのおのその隣り人を捕え、手をあげてその隣り人を攻める。
14:14 Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered together: gold, and silver, and clothing, in great abundance. 14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. 14 ユダもまた、エルサレムに敵して戦う。その周囲のすべての国びとの財宝、すなわち金銀、衣服などが、はなはだ多く集められる。
14:15 So will be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the donkey, and of all the animals that will be in those camps, as that plague. 15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague. 15 また馬、騾、らくだ、ろば、およびその陣営にあるすべての家畜にも、この災のような災が臨む。
14:16 It will happen that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to keep the feast of tents. 16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 16 エルサレムに攻めて来たもろもろの国びとの残った者は、皆年々上って来て、王なる万軍の主を拝み、仮庵の祭を守るようになる。
14:17 It will be, that whoever of all the families of the earth doesn’t go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, on them there will be no rain. 17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 17 地の諸族のうち、王なる万軍の主を拝むために、エルサレムに上らない者の上には、雨が降らない。
14:18 If the family of Egypt doesn’t go up, and doesn’t come, neither will it rain on them. This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of tents. 18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 18 エジプトの人々が、もし上ってこない時には、主が仮庵の祭を守るために、上ってこないすべての国びとを撃たれるその災が、彼らの上に臨む。
14:19 This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of tents. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 19 これが、エジプトびとの受ける罰、およびすべて仮庵の祭を守るために上ってこない国びとの受ける罰である。
14:20 In that day there will be on the bells of the horses, “HOLY TO YAHWEH;” and the pots in Yahweh’s house will be like the bowls before the altar. 20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 20 その日には、馬の鈴の上に「主に聖なる者」と、しるすのである。また主の宮のなべは、祭壇の前の鉢のように、聖なる物となる。
14:21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Yahweh of Armies; and all those who sacrifice will come and take of them, and cook in them. In that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of Yahweh of Armies. 21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts. 21 エルサレムおよびユダのすべてのなべは、万軍の主に対して聖なる物となり、すべて犠牲をささげる者は来てこれを取り、その中で犠牲の肉を煮ることができる。その日には、万軍の主の宮に、もはや商人はいない。
