1 Parole de Yahweh qui fut adressée à Joël, fils de Phatuel. 1 The Word of Yahweh that came to Joel, the son of Pethuel. 1 Dies ist das Wort des Herrn, das geschehen ist zu Joel, dem Sohn Pethuels.
2 Écoutez ceci, vieillards ; prêtez l’oreille, vous tous habitants du pays ! Pareille chose est-elle arrivée de vos jours, ou bien dans les jours de vos pères ? 2 Hear this, you elders, And listen, all you inhabitants of the land. Has this ever happened in your days,or in the days of your fathers? 2 Höret dies, ihr Ältesten, und merket auf alle Einwohner im Lande, ob solches geschehen sei zu euren Zeiten oder zu eurer Väter Zeiten !
3 Faites-en le récit à vos enfants, et vos enfants à leurs enfants, et leurs enfants à une autre génération. 3 Tell your children about it, and have your children tell their children,and their children, another generation. 3 Saget euren Kindern davon und lasset’s eure Kinder ihren Kindern sagen und diese Kinder ihren Nachkommen !
4 Ce qu’a laissé le gazam, la sauterelle l’a dévoré ; ce qu’a laissé la sauterelle, le yéleq l’a dévoré ; ce qu’a laissé le yéleq, le chasil l’a dévoré. 4 What the swarming locust has left, the great locust has eaten. What the great locust has left, the grasshopper has eaten.What the grasshopper has left, the caterpillar has eaten. 4 Was die Raupen lassen, das fressen die Heuschrecken ; und was die Heuschrecken lassen, das fressen die Käfer ; und was die Käfer lassen, das frißt das Geschmeiß.
5 Réveillez-vous, ivrognes, et pleurez ; vous tous, buveurs de vin, lamentez-vous, à cause du vin nouveau ; car il vous est retiré de la bouche. 5 Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! Wail, all you drinkers of wine, because of the sweet wine;for it is cut off from your mouth. 5 Wachet auf, ihr Trunkenen, und weinet, und heulet, alle Weinsäufer, um den Most ; denn er ist euch vor eurem Maul weggenommen.
6 Car un peuple est monté sur mon pays, puissant et innombrable ; ses dents sont des dents de lion, et il a des mâchoires de lionne. 6 For a nation has come up on my land, strong, and without number. His teeth are the teeth of a lion,and he has the fangs of a lioness. 6 Denn es zieht herauf in mein Land ein mächtiges Volk und ohne Zahl ; das hat Zähne wie Löwen und Backenzähne wie Löwinnen.
7 Il a dévasté ma vigne, et mis en morceaux mon figuier ; il les a pelés complètement et abattus ; les rameaux sont devenus tout blancs. 7 He has laid my vine waste, and stripped my fig tree.He has stripped its bark, and thrown it away. Its branches are made white. 7 Das verwüstet meinen Weinberg und streift meinen Feigenbaum ab, schält ihn und verwirft ihn, daß seine Zweige weiß dastehen.
8 Désole-toi comme une vierge revêtue du sac, pour pleurer l’époux de sa jeunesse. 8 Mourn like a virgin dressed in sackcloth for the husband of her youth! 8 Heule wie eine Jungfrau die einen Sack anlegt um ihren Bräutigam !
9 Offrandes et libations ont été retranchées de la maison de Yahweh ; ils sont dans le deuil les prêtres, ministres de Yahweh ! 9 The meal offering and the drink offering are cut off from Yahweh’s house. The priests, Yahweh’s ministers, mourn. 9 Denn das Speisopfer und Trankopfer ist vom Hause des Herrn weg, und die Priester, des Herrn Diener, trauern.
10 Les champs sont ravagés, le sol est dans le deuil ; car le blé est détruit, le vin nouveau est dans la confusion, l’huile languit. 10 The field is laid waste. The land mourns, for the grain is destroyed,The new wine has dried up, and the oil languishes. 10 Das Feld ist verwüstet, und der Acker steht jämmerlich ; das Getreide ist verdorben, der Wein steht jämmerlich und das Öl kläglich.
11 Soyez confus, laboureurs, lamentez-vous, vignerons, à cause du froment et de l’orge ; car la moisson des champs est anéantie. 11 Be confounded, you farmers! Wail, you vineyard keepers; for the wheat and for the barley;for the harvest of the field has perished. 11 Die Ackerleute sehen jämmerlich, und die Weingärtner heulen um den Weizen und die Gerste, daß aus der Ernte auf dem Felde nichts werden kann.
12 La vigne est dans la confusion, et les figuiers languissent ; le grenadier, et aussi le palmier et le pommier, tous les arbres des champs sont desséchés ; la joie s’est retirée confuse, loin des enfants des hommes. 12 The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,even all of the trees of the field are withered; for joy has withered away from the sons of men. 12 So steht der Weinstock auch jämmerlich und der Feigenbaum kläglich ; dazu die Granatbäume, Palmbäume, Apfelbäume und alle Bäume auf dem Felde sind verdorrt ; denn die Freude der Menschen ist zu Jammer geworden.
13 Prêtres, ceignez-vous et poussez des plaintes ; lamentez-vous, ministres de l’autel ! Venez, passez la nuit vêtus du sac, ministres de mon Dieu ; car l’offrande et la libation sont retenues loin de la maison de votre Dieu. 13 Put on sackcloth and mourn, you priests! Wail, you ministers of the altar. Come, lie all night in sackcloth, you ministers of my [#N2 God],for the meal offering and the drink offering are withheld from your God’s house. 13 Begürtet euch nun und klaget, ihr Priester ; heulet, ihr Diener des Altars ; gehet hinein und lieget in Säcken, ihr Diener meines Gottes ! denn es ist Speisopfer und Trankopfer vom Hause eures Gottes weg.
14 Publiez un jeûne, convoquez une assemblée ; réunissez les anciens, tous ceux qui habitent le pays, dans la maison de Yahweh, votre Dieu, 14 Sanctify a fast. Call a solemn assembly.Gather the elders, and all the inhabitants of the land, to the house of Yahweh, your God,and cry to Yahweh. 14 Heiliget ein Fasten, rufet die Gemeinde zusammen ; versammelt die Ältesten und alle Einwohner des Landes zum Hause des Herrn, eures Gottes, und schreit zum Herrn !
15 et criez à Yahweh : " Ah ! quel jour !… " Car le jour de Yahweh est proche ! Il vient comme un ravage, de la part du Tout-Puissant ! 15 Alas for the day! For the day of Yahweh is at hand,and it will come as destruction from the Almighty. 15 O weh des Tages ! denn der Tag des Herrn ist nahe und kommt wie ein Verderben vom Allmächtigen.
16 La nourriture n’a-t-elle pas été retranchée sous nos yeux, ainsi que la joie et l’allégresse, de la maison de notre Dieu ? 16 Isn’t the food cut off before our eyes; joy and gladness from the house of our God? 16 Ist nicht die Speise vor unsern Augen weggenommen und vom Hause unsers Gottes Freude und Wonne ?
17 Les semences ont séché sous leurs mottes ; les greniers sont vides, les magasins tombent en ruines, parce que le blé est dans la confusion. 17 The seeds rot under their clods. The granaries are laid desolate. The barns are broken down, for the grain has withered. 17 Der Same ist unter der Erde verfault, die Kornhäuser stehen wüst, die Scheunen zerfallen ; denn das Getreide ist verdorben.
18 Comme les bêtes gémissent ! Les troupeaux de bœufs sont effarés, parce qu’ils n’ont point de pâture ; même les troupeaux de brebis pâtissent. 18 How the animals groan! The herds of livestock are perplexed, because they have no pasture. Yes, the flocks of sheep are made desolate. 18 O wie seufzt das Vieh ! Die Rinder sehen kläglich, denn sie haben keine Weide, und die Schafe verschmachten.
19 Je crie vers vous, Yahweh ; car le feu a dévoré les pâturages du désert, la flamme a brûlé tous les arbres des champs. 19 Yahweh, I cry to you, For the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame has burned all the trees of the field. 19 Herr, dich rufe ich an ; denn das Feuer hat die Auen in der Wüste verbrannt, und die Flamme hat alle Bäume auf dem Acker angezündet.
20 Les bêtes sauvages mêmes brament après vous, parce que les courants d’eau sont à sec, et que le feu a dévoré les pâturages du désert. 20 Yes, the animals of the field pant to you, for the water brooks have dried up, And the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness. 20 Es schrieen auch die wilden Tiere zu dir ; denn die Wasserbäche sind ausgetrocknet, und das Feuer hat die Auen in der Wüste verbrannt.

1 Sonnez du cor en Sion, et sonnez de la trompette sur ma sainte montagne ! Que tous les habitants du pays tremblent, car le jour de Yahweh vient, car il est proche ! 1 Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble,for the day of Yahweh comes, for it is close at hand: 1 Blaset mit der Posaune zu Zion, rufet auf meinem heiligen Berge ; erzittert, alle Einwohner im Lande ! denn der Tag des Herrn kommt und ist nahe :
2 Jour de ténèbres et d’obscurité, jour de nuages et de sombre nuée ! Comme l’aurore qui s’étend sur les montagnes, un peuple vient, nombreux et fort, tel qu’il n’y en a jamais eu depuis l’origine, et qu’il n’y en aura pas après lui, jusqu’aux années des âges les plus lointains. 2 A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn spreading on the mountains,a great and strong people; there has never been the like,neither will there be any more after them, even to the years of many generations. 2 Ein finstrer Tag, ein dunkler Tag, ein wolkiger Tag, ein nebliger Tag ; gleichwie sich die Morgenröte ausbreitet über die Berge, kommt ein großes und mächtiges Volk, desgleichen vormals nicht gewesen ist und hinfort nicht sein wird zu ewigen Zeiten für und für.
3 Devant lui le feu dévore, et derrière lui la flamme brûle. Le pays est comme un jardin d’Éden devant lui, et derrière lui, c’est un désert dévasté ; rien ne lui échappe. 3 A fire devours before them, and behind them, a flame burns. The land is as the garden of Eden before them,and behind them, a desolate wilderness. Yes, and no one has escaped them. 3 Vor ihm her geht ein verzehrend Feuer und nach ihm eine brennende Flamme. Das Land ist vor ihm wie ein Lustgarten, aber nach ihm wie eine wüste Einöde, und niemand wird ihm entgehen.
4 Son aspect est comme l’aspect des chevaux, et ils courent comme des cavaliers. 4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses, and as horsemen, so do they run. 4 Sie sind gestaltet wie Rosse und rennen wie die Reiter.
5 On entend comme un bruit de chars, qui bondiraient sur les sommets des montagnes ! c’est comme le bruit de la flamme de feu, qui dévore le chaume ; c’est comme un peuple robuste, rangé en bataille. 5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of the mountains do they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble,as a strong people set in battle array. 5 Sie sprengen daher oben auf den Bergen, wie die Wagen rasseln, und wie eine Flamme lodert im Stroh, wie ein mächtiges Volk, das zum Streit gerüstet ist.
6 Devant lui les peuples tremblent d’effroi, tous les visages pâlissent. 6 At their presence the peoples are in anguish. All faces have grown pale. 6 Die Völker werden sich vor ihm entsetzen, aller Angesichter werden bleich.
7 Ils courent comme des héros ; ils escaladent la muraille comme des hommes de guerre ; ils marchent chacun dans leurs sentiers, ils ne confondent pas leurs routes. 7 They run like mighty men. They climb the wall like warriors. They each march in his line, and they don’t swerve off course. 7 Sie werden laufen wie die Riesen und die Mauern ersteigen wie die Krieger ; ein jeglicher wird stracks vor sich daherziehen und sich nicht säumen.
8 Ils ne se poussent point les uns les autres, chacun va dans son chemin ; ils se précipitent au travers des traits, et ils ne rompent point leurs rangs. 8 Neither does one jostle another; they march everyone in his path, and they burst through the defenses,and don’t break ranks. 8 Keiner wird den andern irren ; sondern ein jeglicher wird in seiner Ordnung daherfahren und werden durch die Waffen brechen und nicht verwundet werden.
9 Ils se répandent dans la ville, ils courent sur le mur, ils montent dans les maisons ; ils entrent par les fenêtres, comme le voleur. 9 They rush on the city. They run on the wall.They climb up into the houses. They enter in at the windows like thieves. 9 Sie werden in der Stadt umherrennen, auf der Mauer laufen und in die Häuser steigen und wie ein Dieb durch die Fenster hineinkommen.
10 Devant lui la terre tremble, les cieux s’ébranlent, le soleil et la lune s’obscurcissent, les étoiles perdent leur éclat. 10 The earth quakes before them. The heavens tremble. The sun and the moon are darkened,and the stars withdraw their shining. 10 Vor ihm zittert das ganze Land und bebt der Himmel ; Sonne und Mond werden finster, und die Sterne verhalten ihren Schein.
11 Yahweh fait entendre sa voix à la tête de son armée ; car immense est son camp, car puissant est l’exécuteur de sa parole. Car le jour de Yahweh est grand et très redoutable ; et qui pourrait le soutenir ? 11 Yahweh thunders his voice before his army; for his forces are very great;for he is strong who obeys his command; for the day of Yahweh is great and very awesome,and who can endure it? 11 Denn der Herr wird seinen Donner vor seinem Heer lassen her gehen ; denn sein Heer ist sehr groß und mächtig, das seinen Befehl wird ausrichten ; denn der Tag des Herrn ist groß und sehr : wer kann ihn leiden ? erschrecklich
12 Mais maintenant encore – oracle de Yahweh, revenez à moi de tout votre cœur, avec des jeûnes, avec des larmes et des lamentations. 12 “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.” 12 Doch spricht auch jetzt der Herr : Bekehrt euch zu mir von ganzem Herzen mit Fasten, mit Weinen, mit Klagen !
13 Déchirez vos cœurs, et non vos vêtements, et revenez à Yahweh, votre Dieu ; car il est miséricordieux et compatissant, lent à la colère et riche en bonté, et il s’afflige du mal qu’il envoie. 13 Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful,slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity. 13 Zerreißet eure Herzen und nicht eure Kleider, und bekehret euch zu dem Herrn, eurem Gott ! denn er ist gnädig, barmherzig, geduldig und von großer Güte, und ihn reut bald der Strafe.
14 Qui sait s’il ne reviendra pas et ne se repentira pas, et s’il ne laissera pas après lui une bénédiction, l’offrande et la libation pour Yahweh, notre Dieu ? 14 Who knows? He may turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meal offering and a drink offering to Yahweh, your God. 14 Wer weiß, es mag ihn wiederum gereuen, und er mag einen Segen hinter sich lassen, zu opfern Speisopfer und Trankopfer dem Herrn, eurem Gott.
15 Sonnez de la trompette en Sion, publiez un jeûne, convoquez une assemblée. 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion! Sanctify a fast. Call a solemn assembly. 15 Blaset mit Posaunen zu Zion, heiliget ein Fasten, rufet die Gemeinde zusammen !
16 Assemblez le peuple, publiez une sainte réunion, rassemblez les vieillards, réunissez les enfants et les nourrissons à la mamelle. Que le nouvel époux quitte sa chambre, et l’épouse son pavillon. 16 Gather the people. Sanctify the assembly. Assemble the elders.Gather the children, and those who suck the breasts. Let the bridegroom go forth from his room,and the bride out of her chamber. 16 Versammelt das Volk, heiliget die Gemeinde, sammelt die Ältesten, bringt zuhauf die jungen Kinder und die Säuglinge ! Der Bräutigam gehe aus seiner Kammer und die Braut aus ihrem Gemach.
17 Qu’entre le portique et l’autel, les prêtres, ministres de Yahweh, pleurent, et qu’ils disent : " Yahweh, épargnez votre peuple, et ne livrez pas votre héritage à l’opprobre, pour être l’objet des moqueries des nations. Pourquoi dirait-on parmi les peuples : Où est leur Dieu ? " 17 Let the priests, the ministers of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, “Spare your people, Yahweh,and don’t give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them.Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’” 17 Lasset die Priester, des Hauses Diener, weinen zwischen Halle und Altar und sagen : Herr, schone deines Volkes und laß dein Erbteil nicht zu Schanden werden, daß Heiden über sie herrschen ! Warum willst du lassen unter den Völkern sagen : Wo ist nun ihr Gott ?
18 Yahweh a été ému de jalousie pour son pays, et il a eu pitié de son peuple. 18 Then Yahweh was jealous for his land, And had pity on his people. 18 So wird der Herr um sein Land eifern und sein Volk verschonen.
19 Yahweh a répondu et dit à son peuple : Voici que je vais vous envoyer le blé, le vin nouveau et l’huile, et vous en serez rassasiés ; et je ne ferai plus de vous un sujet d’opprobre parmi les nations. 19 Yahweh answered his people, “Behold, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil,and you will be satisfied with them; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations. 19 Und der Herr wird antworten und sagen zu seinem Volk : Siehe, ich will euch Getreide, Most und Öl die Fülle schicken, daß ihr genug daran haben sollt, und will euch nicht mehr lassen unter den Heiden zu Schanden werden,
20 Celui qui vient du septentrion, je l’éloignerai de vous, et je le chasserai vers une terre aride et déserte, l’avant garde vers la mer Orientale, l’arrière-garde vers la mer occidentale ; il s’en élèvera une infection, et sa puanteur montera, car il a fait grand ! 20 But I will remove the northern army far away from you, and will drive it into a barren and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea,and its back into the western sea; and its stench will come up,and its bad smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things. 20 und will den von Mitternacht fern von euch treiben und ihn in ein dürres und wüstes Land verstoßen, sein Angesicht hin zum Meer gegen Morgen und sein Ende hin zum Meer gegen Abend. Er soll verfaulen und stinken ; denn er hat große Dinge getan.
21 Terre, ne crains pas, sois dans l’allégresse et réjouis-toi ; car Yahweh a fait grand ! 21 Land, don’t be afraid. Be glad and rejoice, for Yahweh has done great things. 21 Fürchte dich nicht, liebes Land, sondern sei fröhlich und getrost ; denn der Herr kann auch große Dinge tun.
22 Ne craignez point, bêtes des champs, car les pâturages du désert ont reverdi, car l’arbre porte son fruit, le figuier et la vigne donnent leurs richesses. 22 Don’t be afraid, you animals of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness spring up,for the tree bears its fruit. The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. 22 Fürchtet euch nicht, ihr Tiere auf dem Felde ; denn die Auen in der Wüste sollen grünen und die Bäume ihre Früchte bringen, und die Feigenbäume und Weinstöcke sollen wohl tragen.
23 Et vous, enfants de Sion, soyez dans l’allégresse et réjouissez-vous en Yahweh, votre Dieu ; car il vous a donné le docteur pour vous enseigner la justice, et il fait descendre pour vous l’ondée, pluie d’automne et pluie du printemps, comme autrefois. 23 “Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh, your God; for he gives you the former rain in just measure,and he causes the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain,as before. 23 Und ihr, Kinder Zions, freut euch und seid fröhlich im Herrn, eurem Gott, der euch Lehrer zur Gerechtigkeit gibt und euch herabsendet Frühregen und Spätregen wie zuvor,
24 Vos aires se rempliront de froment, et les cuves regorgeront de vin nouveau et d’huile. 24 The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. 24 daß die Tenne voll Korn werden und die Keltern Überfluß von Most und Öl haben sollen.
25 Je vous compenserai les années qu’ont dévorées la sauterelle, le yélek, le chasil et le gazam, ma grande armée, que j’avais envoyée sur vous. 25 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you. 25 Und ich will euch die Jahre erstatten, welche die Heuschrecken, Käfer, Geschmeiß und Raupen, mein großes Heer, so ich unter euch schickte, gefressen haben ;
26 Vous mangerez abondamment et vous serez rassasiés, et vous louerez le nom de Yahweh, votre Dieu, qui a fait pour vous des merveilles ; et mon peuple ne sera plus jamais confus. 26 You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you;and my people will never again be disappointed. 26 daß ihr zu essen genug haben sollt und den Namen des Herrn, eures Gottes, preisen, der Wunder unter euch getan hat ; und mein Volk soll nicht mehr zu Schanden werden.
27 Et vous saurez que je suis au milieu d’Israël ! Moi, je suis Yahweh, votre Dieu, et il n’y en a point d’autre, et mon peuple ne sera plus jamais confus ! 27 You will know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Yahweh, your God, and there is no one else;and my people will never again be disappointed. 27 Und ihr sollt erfahren, daß ich mitten unter Israel sei und daß ich, der Herr, euer Gott sei und keiner mehr ; und mein Volk soll nicht mehr zu Schanden werden.

Capitel 3

1 Et il arrivera après cela que je répandrai mon Esprit sur toute chair. Et vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront, vos vieillards auront des songes, vos jeunes gens verront des visions. 28 “It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy.Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. 1 Und nach diesem will ich meinen Geist ausgießen über alles Fleisch, und eure Söhne und Töchter sollen weissagen ; eure Ältesten sollen Träume haben, und eure Jünglinge sollen Gesichte sehen ;
2 Même sur les serviteurs et sur les servantes, en ces jours-là je répandrai mon esprit. 29 And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days, I will pour out my Spirit. 2 auch will ich mich zur selben Zeit über Knechte und Mägde meinen Geist ausgießen.
3 Je ferai paraître des prodiges dans les cieux et sur la terre, du sang, du feu et des colonnes de fumée. 30 I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke. 3 Und ich will Wunderzeichen geben am Himmel und auf Erden : Blut, Feuer und Rauchdampf ;
4 Le soleil se changera en ténèbres, et la lune en sang, avant que vienne le jour de Yahweh, grand et terrible. 31 The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes. 4 die Sonne soll in Finsternis und der Mond in Blut verwandelt werden, ehe denn der große und schreckliche Tag des Herrn kommt.
5 Et quiconque invoquera le nom de Yahweh sera sauvé ; car sur la montagne de Sion et de Jérusalem, il y aura une réunion de sauvés, comme l’a dit Yahweh, et parmi les survivants que Yahweh appelle ! 32 It will happen that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahweh has said,and among the remnant, those whom Yahweh calls. 5 Und es soll geschehen, wer des Herrn Namen anrufen wird, der soll errettet werden. Denn auf dem Berge Zion und zu Jerusalem wird eine Errettung sein, wie der Herr verheißen hat, auch bei den andern übrigen, die der Herr berufen wird.

1 Car voici qu’en ces jours-là et en ce temps-là, où je ramènerai les captifs de Juda et de Jérusalem, 1 “For, behold, in those days, and in that time,when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 6 Denn siehe, in den Tagen und zur selben Zeit, wann ich das Gefängnis Juda’s und Jerusalems wenden werde,
2 j’assemblerai toutes les nations, et je les ferai descendre dans la vallée de Josaphat ; et là j’entrerai en jugement avec elles, au sujet de mon peuple et de mon héritage d’Israël, qu’elles ont dispersé parmi les nations, et de mon pays qu’elles ont partagé. 2 I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat;and I will execute judgment on them there for my people, and for my heritage, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations.They have divided my land, 7 will ich alle Heiden zusammenbringen und will sie in das Tal Josaphat hinabführen und will mit ihnen daselbst rechten wegen meines Volks und meines Erbteils Israel, weil sie es unter die Heiden zerstreut und sich mein Land geteilt
3 Car ils ont jeté le sort sur mon peuple, ils ont donné le jeune garçon pour une courtisane, et ils ont vendu la jeune fille pour du vin, et ils ont bu. 3 and have cast lots for my people,and have given a boy for a prostitute, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink. 8 und das Los um mein Volk geworfen haben ; und haben die Knaben um Speise gegeben und die Mägdlein um Wein verkauft und vertrunken.
4 Et vous aussi, qu’êtes-vous pour moi, Tyr et Sidon, et tous les districts de Philistie ? Est-ce que vous tireriez de moi une vengeance ? Que si vous me provoquez, je ferai vite, promptement retomber votre provocation sur votre tête ; 4 “Yes, and what are you to me, Tyre, and Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia? Will you repay me? And if you repay me, I will swiftly and speedily return your repayment on your own head. 9 Und ihr von Tyrus und Sidon und alle Kreise der Philister, was habt ihr mit mir zu tun ? Wollt ihr mir trotzen ? Wohlan, trotzet ihr mir, so will ich’s euch eilend und bald wiedervergelten auf euren Kopf.
5 vous qui avez pris mon argent et mon or, et qui avez emporté dans vos temples mes joyaux les plus précieux ; 5 Because you have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried my finest treasures into your temples, 10 Die ihr mein Silber und Gold und meine schönen Kleinode genommen und in eure Tempel gebracht habt,
6 vous qui avez vendu aux fils de Javan, les fils de Juda et les fils de Jérusalem, pour qu’on les éloigne de leur pays ! 6 and have sold the children of Judah and the children of Jerusalem to the sons of the Greeks,that you may remove them far from their border. 11 dazu auch die Kinder Juda und die Kinder Jerusalems verkauft habt den Griechen, auf daß ihr sie ja fern von ihren Grenzen brächtet.
7 Voici que je vais les faire lever du lieu où vous les avez vendus, et je ferai retomber votre provocation sur votre tête. 7 Behold, I will stir them up out of the place where you have sold them, and will return your repayment on your own head; 12 Siehe, ich will sie erwecken aus dem Ort, dahin ihr sie verkauft habt, und will’s euch vergelten auf euren Kopf.
8 Je vendrai vos fils et vos filles aux mains des enfants de Juda, qui les vendront aux Sabéens, à un peuple lointain ; car Yahweh a parlé. 8 and I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the children of Judah, and they will sell them to the men of Sheba, to a faraway nation,for Yahweh has spoken it.” 13 Und will eure Söhne und Töchter wiederum verkaufen durch die Kinder Juda ; die sollen sie denen in Reicharabien, einem Volk in fernen Landen, verkaufen ; denn der Herr hat’s geredet.
9 Publiez ceci parmi les nations : Préparez la guerre ! Faites lever les vaillants ! Qu’ils s’approchent, qu’ils montent, tous les hommes de guerre ! 9 Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Stir up the mighty men. Let all the warriors draw near.Let them come up. 14 Rufet dies aus unter den Heiden ! Heiliget einen Streit ! Erwecket die Starken ! Lasset herzukommen und hinaufziehen alle Kriegsleute !
10 De vos socs forgez des épées, et de vos serpes des lances ; que le faible dise : " Je suis un brave ! " 10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears.Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ 15 Macht aus euren Pflugscharen Schwerter und aus euren Sicheln Spieße ! der Schwache spreche : Ich bin stark !
11 Hâtez-vous et venez, vous toutes, nations d’alentour, et rassemblez-vous ! Là même, Yahweh, faites descendre vos braves ! 11 Hurry and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves together.”Cause your mighty ones to come down there, Yahweh. 16 Rottet euch und kommt her, alle Heiden um und um, und versammelt euch ! Daselbst führe du hernieder, Herr, deine Starken !
12 Que les nations se lèvent et qu’elles montent à la vallée de Josaphat ! Car c’est là que je siégerai pour juger toutes les nations d’alentour. 12 “Let the nations arouse themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat;for there will I sit to judge all the surrounding nations. 17 Die Heiden werden sich aufmachen und heraufkommen zum Tal Josaphat ; denn daselbst will ich sitzen, zu richten alle Heiden um und um.
13 Mettez la faucille, car la moisson est mûre ; venez, foulez, car le pressoir est rempli ; les cuves regorgent, car leur méchanceté est grande. 13 Put in the sickle; for the harvest is ripe.Come, tread, for the winepress is full, the vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.” 18 Schlagt die Sichel an, denn die Ernte ist reif ; kommt herab, denn die Kelter ist voll, und die Kufen laufen über ; denn ihre Bosheit ist groß.
14 Des foules, des foules dans la vallée de la décision ! 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Yahweh is near, in the valley of decision. 19 Es werden Haufen über Haufen Volks sein im Tal des Urteils ; denn des Herrn Tag ist nahe im Tal des Urteils.
15 Le soleil et la lune se sont obscurcis, et les étoiles ont perdu leur éclat. 15 The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining. 20 Sonne und Mond werden sich verfinstern, und die Sterne werden ihren Schein verhalten.
16 De Sion Yahweh rugira, de Jérusalem il fera entendre sa voix ; les cieux et la terre trembleront. Mais Yahweh sera un refuge pour son peuple, une retraite pour les enfants d’Israël. 16 Yahweh will roar from Zion, and thunder from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth will shake;but Yahweh will be a refuge to his people, and a stronghold to the children of Israel. 21 Und der Herr wird aus Zion brüllen und aus Jerusalem seine Stimme lassen hören, daß Himmel und Erde beben wird. Aber der Herr wird seinem Volk eine Zuflucht sein und eine Feste den Kindern Israel.
17 Et vous saurez que je suis Yahweh, votre Dieu, qui habite Sion, ma montagne sainte ; Jérusalem sera un sanctuaire, et les étrangers n’y passeront plus. 17 “So you will know that I am Yahweh, your God, dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain. Then Jerusalem will be holy,and no strangers will pass through her any more. 22 Und ihr sollt es erfahren, daß ich, der Herr, euer Gott, zu Zion auf meinem heiligen Berge wohne. Alsdann wird Jerusalem heilig sein und kein Fremder mehr durch sie wandeln.
18 En ce jour-là, les montagnes dégoutteront de vin nouveau, les collines ruisselleront de lait, et tous les torrents de Juda ruisselleront d’eau. Une source sortira de la maison de Yahweh, et elle arrosera la vallée des Acacias. 18 It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine,the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters,and a fountain will come forth from the house of Yahweh, and will water the valley of Shittim. 23 Zur selben Zeit werden die Berge von süßem Wein triefen und die Hügel von Milch fließen, und alle Bäche in Juda werden voll Wasser gehen ; und wird eine Quelle vom Hause des Herrn herausgehen, die wird das Tal Sittim wässern.
19 L’Égypte deviendra une terre dévastée, Edom un désert de dévastation, à cause des violences commises contre les enfants de Juda, parce qu’ils ont répandu dans leur pays le sang innocent. 19 Egypt will be a desolation, and Edom will be a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the children of Judah,because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 24 Aber Ägypten soll wüst werden und Edom eine wüste Einöde um den Frevel, an den Kindern Juda begangen, daß sie unschuldig Blut in ihrem Lande vergossen haben.
20 Mais Juda sera habité éternellement, et Jérusalem d’âge en âge. 20 But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. 25 Aber Juda soll ewiglich bewohnt werden und Jerusalem für und für.
21 Et je laverai leur sang que je n’avais pas encore lavé. Et Yahweh habitera enSion. 21 I will cleanse their blood, that I have not cleansed: for Yahweh dwells in Zion.” 26 Und ich will ihr Blut nicht ungerächt lassen. Und der Herr wird wohnen zu Zion.
