1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 1:1 神は、むかしは、預言者たちにより、いろいろな時に、いろいろな方法で、先祖たちに語られたが、
2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 1:2 この終りの時には、御子によって、わたしたちに語られたのである。神は御子を万物の相続者と定め、また、御子によって、もろもろの世界を造られた。
3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: 1:3 御子は神の栄光の輝きであり、神の本質の真の姿であって、その力ある言葉をもって万物を保っておられる。そして罪のきよめのわざをなし終えてから、いと高き所にいます大能者の右に、座につかれたのである。

5 For to which of the angels did he say at any time, "You are my Son. And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 1:5 いったい、神は御使たちのだれに対して、「あなたこそは、わたしの子。きょう、わたしはあなたを生んだ」と言い、さらにまた、「わたしは彼の父となり、彼はわたしの子となるであろう」と言われたことがあるか。
6 Again, when he brings in the firstborn into the world he says, "Let all the angels of God worship him." 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 1:6 さらにまた、神は、その長子を世界に導き入れるに当って、「神の御使たちはことごとく、彼を拝すべきである」と言われた。

8 But of the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. 12 As a mantle, you will roll them up, and they will be changed; but you are the same. 13 But which of the angels has he told at any time, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?" 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 1:13 神は、御使たちのだれに対して、「あなたの敵を、あなたの足台とするときまでは、わたしの右に座していなさい」と言われたことがあるか。
14 Aren't they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? 1:14 御使たちはすべて仕える霊であって、救を受け継ぐべき人々に奉仕するため、つかわされたものではないか。

1 Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, lest perhaps we drift away. 1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2:1 こういうわけだから、わたしたちは聞かされていることを、いっそう強く心に留めねばならない。そうでないと、おし流されてしまう。
2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense; 2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 2:2 というのは、御使たちをとおして語られた御言が効力を持ち、あらゆる罪過と不従順とに対して正当な報いが加えられたとすれば、
3 how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation—which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard; 3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 2:3 わたしたちは、こんなに尊い救をなおざりにしては、どうして報いをのがれることができようか。この救は、初め主によって語られたものであって、聞いた人々からわたしたちにあかしされ、
4 God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, by various works of power, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will? 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? 2:4 さらに神も、しるしと不思議とさまざまな力あるわざとにより、また、御旨に従い聖霊を各自に賜うことによって、あかしをされたのである。
5 For he didn't subject the world to come, of which we speak, to angels. 5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. 2:5 いったい、神は、わたしたちがここで語っているきたるべき世界を、御使たちに服従させることは、なさらなかった。
6 But one has somewhere testified, saying, "What is man, that you think of him? Or the son of man, that you care for him? 6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him? 2:6 聖書はある箇所で、こうあかししている、「人間が何者だから、これを御心に留められるのだろうか。人の子が何者だから、これをかえりみられるのだろうか。
7 You made him a little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honor. 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 2:7 あなたは、しばらくの間、彼を御使たちよりも低い者となし、栄光とほまれとを冠として彼に与え、
8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that he subjected all things to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we don't see all things subjected to him, yet. 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. 2:8 万物をその足の下に服従させて下さった」。「万物を彼に服従させて下さった」という以上、服従しないものは、何ひとつ残されていないはずである。しかし、今もなお万物が彼に服従している事実を、わたしたちは見ていない。
9 But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 2:9 ただ、「しばらくの間、御使たちよりも低い者とされた」イエスが、死の苦しみのゆえに、栄光とほまれとを冠として与えられたのを見る。それは、彼が神の恵みによって、すべての人のために死を味わわれるためであった。
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many children to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 2:10 なぜなら、万物の帰すべきかた、万物を造られたかたが、多くの子らを栄光に導くのに、彼らの救の君を、苦難をとおして全うされたのは、彼にふさわしいことであったからである。
11 For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers, 11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 2:11 実に、きよめるかたも、きよめられる者たちも、皆ひとりのかたから出ている。それゆえに主は、彼らを兄弟と呼ぶことを恥とされない。
12 saying, "I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise." 12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 2:12 すなわち、「わたしは、御名をわたしの兄弟たちに告げ知らせ、教会の中で、あなたをほめ歌おう」と言い、
13 Again, "I will put my trust in him." Again, "Behold, here I am with the children whom God has given me." 13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. 2:13 また、「わたしは、彼により頼む」、また、「見よ、わたしと、神がわたしに賜わった子らとは」と言われた。
14 Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 2:14 このように、子たちは血と肉とに共にあずかっているので、イエスもまた同様に、それらをそなえておられる。それは、死の力を持つ者、すなわち悪魔を、ご自分の死によって滅ぼし、

16 For most certainly, he doesn't give help to angels, but he gives help to the seed of Abraham. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 2:16 確かに、彼は天使たちを助けることはしないで、アブラハムの子孫を助けられた。
17 Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 2:17 そこで、イエスは、神のみまえにあわれみ深い忠実な大祭司となって、民の罪をあがなうために、あらゆる点において兄弟たちと同じようにならねばならなかった。
18 For in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted. 18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. 2:18 主ご自身、試錬を受けて苦しまれたからこそ、試錬の中にある者たちを助けることができるのである。

1 Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus; 1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 3:1 そこで、天の召しにあずかっている聖なる兄弟たちよ。あなたがたは、わたしたちが告白する信仰の使者また大祭司なるイエスを、思いみるべきである。
2 who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house. 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3:2 彼は、モーセが神の家の全体に対して忠実であったように、自分を立てたかたに対して忠実であられた。
3 For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who built the house has more honor than the house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 3:3 おおよそ、家を造る者が家そのものよりもさらに尊ばれるように、彼は、モーセ以上に、大いなる光栄を受けるにふさわしい者とされたのである。
4 For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God. 4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 3:4 家はすべて、だれかによって造られるものであるが、すべてのものを造られたかたは、神である。
5 Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken, 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 3:5 さて、モーセは、後に語らるべき事がらについてあかしをするために、仕える者として、神の家の全体に対して忠実であったが、
6 but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end. 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. 3:6 キリストは御子として、神の家を治めるのに忠実であられたのである。もしわたしたちが、望みの確信と誇とを最後までしっかりと持ち続けるなら、わたしたちは神の家なのである。
7 Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, "Today if you will hear his voice, 7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 3:7 だから、聖霊が言っているように、「きょう、あなたがたがみ声を聞いたなら、
8 don't harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 3:8 荒野における試錬の日に、神にそむいた時のように、あなたがたの心を、かたくなにしてはいけない。
9 where your fathers tested me by proving me, and saw my works for forty years. 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. 3:9 あなたがたの先祖たちは、そこでわたしを試みためし、
10 Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, 'They always err in their heart, but they didn't know my ways;' 10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 3:10 しかも、四十年の間わたしのわざを見たのである。だから、わたしはその時代の人々に対して、いきどおって言った、彼らの心は、いつも迷っており、彼らは、わたしの道を認めなかった。
11 as I swore in my wrath, 'They will not enter into my rest.'" 11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) 3:11 そこで、わたしは怒って、彼らをわたしの安息にはいらせることはしない、と誓った」。
12 Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 3:12 兄弟たちよ。気をつけなさい。あなたがたの中には、あるいは、不信仰な悪い心をいだいて、生ける神から離れ去る者があるかも知れない。
13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called "today;" lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 3:13 あなたがたの中に、罪の惑わしに陥って、心をかたくなにする者がないように、「きょう」といううちに、日々、互に励まし合いなさい。
14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end: 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 3:14 もし最初の確信を、最後までしっかりと持ち続けるならば、わたしたちはキリストにあずかる者となるのである。
15 while it is said, "Today if you will hear his voice, don't harden your hearts, as in the rebellion." 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. 3:15 それについて、こう言われている、「きょう、み声を聞いたなら、神にそむいた時のように、あなたがたの心を、かたくなにしてはいけない」。
16 For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, didn't all those who came out of Egypt by Moses? 16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 3:16 すると、聞いたのにそむいたのは、だれであったのか。モーセに率いられて、エジプトから出て行ったすべての人々ではなかったか。
17 With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn't it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? 17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 3:17 また、四十年の間、神がいきどおられたのはだれに対してであったか。罪を犯して、その死かばねを荒野にさらした者たちに対してではなかったか。
18 To whom did he swear that they wouldn't enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? 18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 3:18 また、神が、わたしの安息に、はいらせることはしない、と誓われたのは、だれに向かってであったか。不従順な者に向かってではなかったか。
19 We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief. 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. 3:19 こうして、彼らがはいることのできなかったのは、不信仰のゆえであることがわかる。

1 Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest. 1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 4:1 それだから、神の安息にはいるべき約束が、まだ存続しているにかかわらず、万一にも、はいりそこなう者が、あなたがたの中から出ることがないように、注意しようではないか。
2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn't profit them, because it wasn't mixed with faith by those who heard. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 4:2 というのは、彼らと同じく、わたしたちにも福音が伝えられているのである。しかし、その聞いた御言は、彼らには無益であった。それが、聞いた者たちに、信仰によって結びつけられなかったからである。
3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4:3 ところが、わたしたち信じている者は、安息にはいることができる。それは、「わたしが怒って、彼らをわたしの安息に、はいらせることはしないと、誓ったように」と言われているとおりである。しかも、みわざは世の初めに、でき上がっていた。
4 For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, "God rested on the seventh day from all his works;" 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 4:4 すなわち、聖書のある箇所で、七日目のことについて、「神は、七日目にすべてのわざをやめて休まれた」と言われており、
5 and in this place again, "They will not enter into my rest." 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 4:5 またここで、「彼らをわたしの安息に、はいらせることはしない」と言われている。
6 Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter therein, and they to whom the good news was before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience, 6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: 4:6 そこで、その安息にはいる機会が、人々になお残されているのであり、しかも、初めに福音を伝えられた人々は、不従順のゆえに、はいることをしなかったのであるから、
7 he again defines a certain day, today, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), "Today if you will hear his voice, don't harden your hearts." 7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 4:7 神は、あらためて、ある日を「きょう」として定め、長く時がたってから、先に引用したとおり、「きょう、み声を聞いたなら、あなたがたの心を、かたくなにしてはいけない」とダビデをとおして言われたのである。
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 4:8 もしヨシュアが彼らを休ませていたとすれば、神はあとになって、ほかの日のことについて語られたはずはない。
9 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 4:9 こういうわけで、安息日の休みが、神の民のためにまだ残されているのである。
10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 4:10 なぜなら、神の安息にはいった者は、神がみわざをやめて休まれたように、自分もわざを休んだからである。
11 Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 4:11 したがって、わたしたちは、この安息にはいるように努力しようではないか。そうでないと、同じような不従順の悪例にならって、落ちて行く者が出るかもしれない。
12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 4:12 というのは、神の言は生きていて、力があり、もろ刃のつるぎよりも鋭くて、精神と霊魂と、関節と骨髄とを切り離すまでに刺しとおして、心の思いと志とを見分けることができる。
13 There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 4:13 そして、神のみまえには、あらわでない被造物はひとつもなく、すべてのものは、神の目には裸であり、あらわにされているのである。この神に対して、わたしたちは言い開きをしなくてはならない。
14 Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 4:14 さて、わたしたちには、もろもろの天をとおって行かれた大祭司なる神の子イエスがいますのであるから、わたしたちの告白する信仰をかたく守ろうではないか。
15 For we don't have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 4:15 この大祭司は、わたしたちの弱さを思いやることのできないようなかたではない。罪は犯されなかったが、すべてのことについて、わたしたちと同じように試錬に会われたのである。
16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. 4:16 だから、わたしたちは、あわれみを受け、また、恵みにあずかって時機を得た助けを受けるために、はばかることなく恵みの御座に近づこうではないか。

1 For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. 1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: 5:1 大祭司なるものはすべて、人間の中から選ばれて、罪のために供え物といけにえとをささげるように、人々のために神に仕える役に任じられた者である。
2 The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness. 2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. 5:2 彼は自分自身、弱さを身に負うているので、無知な迷っている人々を、思いやることができると共に、
3 Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself. 3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. 5:3 その弱さのゆえに、民のためだけではなく自分自身のためにも、罪についてささげものをしなければならないのである。
4 Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was. 4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. 5:4 かつ、だれもこの栄誉ある務を自分で得るのではなく、アロンの場合のように、神の召しによって受けるのである。
5 So also Christ didn't glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, "You are my Son. Today I have become your father." 5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 5:5 同様に、キリストもまた、大祭司の栄誉を自分で得たのではなく、「あなたこそは、わたしの子。きょう、わたしはあなたを生んだ」と言われたかたから、お受けになったのである。
6 As he says also in another place, "You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek." 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 5:6 また、ほかの箇所でこう言われている、「あなたこそは、永遠に、メルキゼデクに等しい祭司である」。
7 He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear, 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 5:7 キリストは、その肉の生活の時には、激しい叫びと涙とをもって、ご自分を死から救う力のあるかたに、祈と願いとをささげ、そして、その深い信仰のゆえに聞きいれられたのである。
8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered. 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 5:8 彼は御子であられたにもかかわらず、さまざまの苦しみによって従順を学び、

11 About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing. 11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 5:11 このことについては、言いたいことがたくさんあるが、あなたがたの耳が鈍くなっているので、それを説き明かすことはむずかしい。
12 For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food. 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 5:12 あなたがたは、久しい以前からすでに教師となっているはずなのに、もう一度神の言の初歩を、人から手ほどきしてもらわねばならない始末である。あなたがたは堅い食物ではなく、乳を必要としている。
13 For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 5:13 すべて乳を飲んでいる者は、幼な子なのだから、義の言葉を味わうことができない。
14 But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. 5:14 しかし、堅い食物は、善悪を見わける感覚を実際に働かせて訓練された成人のとるべきものである。

6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame. 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 6:6 そののち堕落した場合には、またもや神の御子を、自ら十字架につけて、さらしものにするわけであるから、ふたたび悔改めにたち帰ることは不可能である。
7 For the land which has drunk the rain that comes often on it, and brings forth a crop suitable for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receives blessing from God; 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 6:7 たとえば、土地が、その上にたびたび降る雨を吸い込んで、耕す人々に役立つ作物を育てるなら、神の祝福にあずかる。
8 but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is rejected and near being cursed, whose end is to be burned. 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. 6:8 しかし、いばらやあざみをはえさせるなら、それは無用になり、やがてのろわれ、ついには焼かれてしまう。

10 For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 6:10 神は不義なかたではないから、あなたがたの働きや、あなたがたがかつて聖徒に仕え、今もなお仕えて、御名のために示してくれた愛を、お忘れになることはない。
11 We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end, 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 6:11 わたしたちは、あなたがたがひとり残らず、最後まで望みを持ちつづけるためにも、同じ熱意を示し、
12 that you won't be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherited the promises. 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 6:12 怠ることがなく、信仰と忍耐とをもって約束のものを受け継ぐ人々に見習う者となるように、と願ってやまない。
13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by none greater, he swore by himself, 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 6:13 さて、神がアブラハムに対して約束されたとき、さして誓うのに、ご自分よりも上のものがないので、ご自分をさして誓って、
14 saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 6:14 「わたしは、必ずあなたを祝福し、必ずあなたの子孫をふやす」と言われた。
15 Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 6:15 このようにして、アブラハムは忍耐強く待ったので、約束のものを得たのである。
16 For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation. 16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. 6:16 いったい、人間は自分より上のものをさして誓うのであり、そして、その誓いはすべての反対論を封じる保証となるのである。
17 In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath; 17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 6:17 そこで、神は、約束のものを受け継ぐ人々に、ご計画の不変であることを、いっそうはっきり示そうと思われ、誓いによって保証されたのである。
18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us. 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 6:18 それは、偽ることのあり得ない神に立てられた二つの不変の事がらによって、前におかれている望みを捕えようとして世をのがれてきたわたしたちが、力強い励ましを受けるためである。
19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil; 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 6:19 この望みは、わたしたちにとって、いわば、たましいを安全にし不動にする錨であり、かつ「幕の内」にはいり行かせるものである。
20 where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 6:20 その幕の内に、イエスは、永遠にメルキゼデクに等しい大祭司として、わたしたちのためにさきがけとなって、はいられたのである。

2 to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, king of righteousness, and then also king of Salem, which is king of peace; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 7:2 それに対して、アブラハムは彼にすべての物の十分の一を分け与えたのである。その名の意味は、第一に義の王、次にまたサレムの王、すなわち平和の王である。
3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually. 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 7:3 彼には父がなく、母がなく、系図がなく、生涯の初めもなく、生命の終りもなく、神の子のようであって、いつまでも祭司なのである。
4 Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the best spoils. 4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. 7:4 そこで、族長のアブラハムが最もよいぶんどり品の十分の一を与えたのだから、この人がどんなにすぐれた人物であったかが、あなたがたにわかるであろう。
5 They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest's office have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham, 5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: 7:5 さて、レビの子のうちで祭司の務をしている者たちは、兄弟である民から、同じくアブラハムの子孫であるにもかかわらず、十分の一を取るように、律法によって命じられている。
6 but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises. 6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7:6 ところが、彼らの血統に属さないこの人が、アブラハムから十分の一を受けとり、約束を受けている者を祝福したのである。
7 But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater. 7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 7:7 言うまでもなく、小なる者が大なる者から祝福を受けるのである。
8 Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives. 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. 7:8 その上、一方では死ぬべき人間が、十分の一を受けているが、他方では「彼は生きている者」とあかしされた人が、それを受けている。
9 We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes, 9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. 7:9 そこで、十分の一を受けるべきレビでさえも、アブラハムを通じて十分の一を納めた、と言える。
10 for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him. 10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him. 7:10 なぜなら、メルキゼデクがアブラハムを迎えた時には、レビはまだこの父祖の腰の中にいたからである。
11 Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 7:11 もし全うされることがレビ系の祭司制によって可能であったら―民は祭司制の下に律法を与えられたのであるが―なんの必要があって、なお、「アロンに等しい」と呼ばれない、別な「メルキゼデクに等しい」祭司が立てられるのであるか。
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law. 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. 7:12 祭司制に変更があれば、律法にも必ず変更があるはずである。
13 For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. 13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 7:13 さて、これらのことは、いまだかつて祭壇に奉仕したことのない、他の部族に関して言われているのである。
14 For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. 14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. 7:14 というのは、わたしたちの主がユダ族の中から出られたことは、明らかであるが、モーセは、この部族について、祭司に関することでは、ひとことも言っていない。
15 This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest, 15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, 7:15 そしてこの事は、メルキゼデクと同様な、ほかの祭司が立てられたことによって、ますます明白になる。
16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life: 16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. 7:16 彼は、肉につける戒めの律法によらないで、朽ちることのないいのちの力によって立てられたのである。
17 for it is testified, "You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek." 17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 7:17 それについては、聖書に「あなたこそは、永遠に、メルキゼデクに等しい祭司である」とあかしされている。
18 For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness 18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 7:18 このようにして、一方では、前の戒めが弱くかつ無益であったために無効になると共に、
19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. 19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. 7:19 (律法は、何事をも全うし得なかったからである)、他方では、さらにすぐれた望みが現れてきて、わたしたちを神に近づかせるのである。
20 Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath 20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: 7:20 その上に、このことは誓いをもってなされた。人々は、誓いをしないで祭司とされるのであるが、
21 (for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, "The Lord swore and will not change his mind, 'You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.'" 21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) 7:21 この人の場合は、次のような誓いをもってされたのである。すなわち、彼について、こう言われている、「主は誓われたが、心を変えることをされなかった。あなたこそは、永遠に祭司である」。
22 By so much, Jesus has become the collateral of a better covenant. 22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. 7:22 このようにして、イエスは更にすぐれた契約の保証となられたのである。
23 Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death. 23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 7:23 かつ、死ということがあるために、務を続けることができないので、多くの人々が祭司に立てられるのである。
24 But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable. 24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 7:24 しかし彼は、永遠にいますかたであるので、変らない祭司の務を持ちつづけておられるのである。
25 Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 7:25 そこでまた、彼は、いつも生きていて彼らのためにとりなしておられるので、彼によって神に来る人々を、いつも救うことができるのである。
26 For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 7:26 このように、聖にして、悪も汚れもなく、罪人とは区別され、かつ、もろもろの天よりも高くされている大祭司こそ、わたしたちにとってふさわしいかたである。
27 who doesn't need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself. 27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 7:27 彼は、ほかの大祭司のように、まず自分の罪のため、次に民の罪のために、日々、いけにえをささげる必要はない。なぜなら、自分をささげて、一度だけ、それをされたからである。
28 For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the law appoints a Son forever who has been perfected. 28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore. 7:28 律法は、弱さを身に負う人間を立てて大祭司とするが、律法の後にきた誓いの御言は、永遠に全うされた御子を立てて、大祭司としたのである。

1 Now in the things which we are saying, the main point is this. We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 8:1 以上述べたことの要点は、このような大祭司がわたしたちのためにおられ、天にあって大能者の御座の右に座し、
2 a servant of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man. 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 8:2 人間によらず主によって設けられた真の幕屋なる聖所で仕えておられる、ということである。
3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this high priest also have something to offer. 3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 8:3 おおよそ、大祭司が立てられるのは、供え物やいけにえをささげるためにほかならない。したがって、この大祭司もまた、何かささぐべき物を持っておられねばならない。
4 For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, seeing there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; 4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: 8:4 そこで、もし彼が地上におられたなら、律法にしたがって供え物をささげる祭司たちが、現にいるのだから、彼は祭司ではあり得なかったであろう。
5 who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, "See, you shall make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain." 5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. 8:5 彼らは、天にある聖所のひな型と影とに仕えている者にすぎない。それについては、モーセが幕屋を建てようとしたとき、御告げを受け、「山で示された型どおりに、注意してそのいっさいを作りなさい」と言われたのである。
6 But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which on better promises has been given as law. 6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 8:6 ところがキリストは、はるかにすぐれた務を得られたのである。それは、さらにまさった約束に基いて立てられた、さらにまさった契約の仲保者となられたことによる。
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8:7 もし初めの契約に欠けたところがなかったなら、あとのものが立てられる余地はなかったであろう。
8 For finding fault with them, he said, "Behold, the days come," says the Lord, "that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 8:8 ところが、神は彼らを責めて言われた、「主は言われる、見よ、わたしがイスラエルの家およびユダの家と、新しい契約を結ぶ日が来る。
9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they didn't continue in my covenant, and I disregarded them," says the Lord. 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 8:9 それは、わたしが彼らの先祖たちの手をとって、エジプトの地から導き出した日に、彼らと結んだ契約のようなものではない。彼らがわたしの契約にとどまることをしないので、わたしも彼らをかえりみなかったからであると、主が言われる。
10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days," says the Lord; "I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 8:10 わたしが、それらの日の後、イスラエルの家と立てようとする契約はこれである、と主が言われる。すなわち、わたしの律法を彼らの思いの中に入れ、彼らの心に書きつけよう。こうして、わたしは彼らの神となり、彼らはわたしの民となるであろう。

1 Now indeed even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service, and an earthly sanctuary. 1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. 9:1 さて、初めの契約にも、礼拝についてのさまざまな規定と、地上の聖所とがあった。
2 For a tabernacle was prepared. In the first part were the lampstand, the table, and the show bread; which is called the Holy Place. 2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. 9:2 すなわち、まず幕屋が設けられ、その前の場所には燭台と机と供えのパンとが置かれていた。これが、聖所と呼ばれた。
3 After the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, 3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; 9:3 また第二の幕の後に、別の場所があり、それは至聖所と呼ばれた。

7 but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself, and for the errors of the people. 7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: 9:7 幕屋の奥には大祭司が年に一度だけはいるのであり、しかも自分自身と民とのあやまちのためにささげる血をたずさえないで行くことはない。
8 The Holy Spirit is indicating this, that the way into the Holy Place wasn't yet revealed while the first tabernacle was still standing; 8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: 9:8 それによって聖霊は、前方の幕屋が存在している限り、聖所にはいる道はまだ開かれていないことを、明らかに示している。
9 which is a symbol of the present age, where gifts and sacrifices are offered that are incapable, concerning the conscience, of making the worshipper perfect; 9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 9:9 この幕屋というのは今の時代に対する比喩である。すなわち、供え物やいけにえはささげられるが、儀式にたずさわる者の良心を全うすることはできない。
10 being only (with meats and drinks and various washings) fleshly ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation. 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. 9:10 それらは、ただ食物と飲み物と種々の洗いごとに関する行事であって、改革の時まで課せられている肉の規定にすぎない。
11 But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 9:11 しかしキリストがすでに現れた祝福の大祭司としてこられたとき、手で造られず、この世界に属さない、さらに大きく、完全な幕屋をとおり、
12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption. 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 9:12 かつ、やぎと子牛との血によらず、ご自身の血によって、一度だけ聖所にはいられ、それによって永遠のあがないを全うされたのである。
13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh: 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 9:13 もし、やぎや雄牛の血や雌牛の灰が、汚れた人たちの上にまきかけられて、肉体をきよめ聖別するとすれば、
14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 9:14 永遠の聖霊によって、ご自身を傷なき者として神にささげられたキリストの血は、なおさら、わたしたちの良心をきよめて死んだわざを取り除き、生ける神に仕える者としないであろうか。
15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 9:15 それだから、キリストは新しい契約の仲保者なのである。それは、彼が初めの契約のもとで犯した罪過をあがなうために死なれた結果、召された者たちが、約束された永遠の国を受け継ぐためにほかならない。
16 For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it. 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 9:16 いったい、遺言には、遺言者の死の証明が必要である。
17 For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives. 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. 9:17 遺言は死によってのみその効力を生じ、遺言者が生きている間は、効力がない。
18 Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood. 18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. 9:18 だから、初めの契約も、血を流すことなしに成立したのではない。
19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 9:19 すなわち、モーセが、律法に従ってすべての戒めを民全体に宣言したとき、水と赤色の羊毛とヒソプとの外に、子牛とやぎとの血を取って、契約書と民全体とにふりかけ、
20 saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you." 20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. 9:20 そして、「これは、神があなたがたに対して立てられた契約の血である」と言った。
21 Moreover he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in like manner with the blood. 21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. 9:21 彼はまた、幕屋と儀式用の器具いっさいにも、同様に血をふりかけた。
22 According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 9:22 こうして、ほとんどすべての物が、律法に従い、血によってきよめられたのである。血を流すことなしには、罪のゆるしはあり得ない。
23 It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 9:23 このように、天にあるもののひな型は、これらのものできよめられる必要があるが、天にあるものは、これらより更にすぐれたいけにえで、きよめられねばならない。
24 For Christ hasn't entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 9:24 ところが、キリストは、ほんとうのものの模型にすぎない、手で造った聖所にはいらないで、上なる天にはいり、今やわたしたちのために神のみまえに出て下さったのである。
25 nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own, 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 9:25 大祭司は、年ごとに、自分以外のものの血をたずさえて聖所にはいるが、キリストは、そのように、たびたびご自身をささげられるのではなかった。
26 or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 9:26 もしそうだとすれば、世の初めから、たびたび苦難を受けねばならなかったであろう。しかし事実、ご自身をいけにえとしてささげて罪を取り除くために、世の終りに、一度だけ現れたのである。
27 Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment, 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 9:27 そして、一度だけ死ぬことと、死んだ後さばきを受けることとが、人間に定まっているように、
28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation. 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. 9:28 キリストもまた、多くの人の罪を負うために、一度だけご自身をささげられた後、彼を待ち望んでいる人々に、罪を負うためではなしに二度目に現れて、救を与えられるのである。

1 For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near. 1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 10:1 いったい、律法はきたるべき良いことの影をやどすにすぎず、そのものの真のかたちをそなえているものではないから、年ごとに引きつづきささげられる同じようないけにえによっても、みまえに近づいて来る者たちを、全うすることはできないのである。
2 Or else wouldn't they have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins? 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 10:2 もしできたとすれば、儀式にたずさわる者たちは、一度きよめられた以上、もはや罪の自覚がなくなるのであるから、ささげ物をすることがやんだはずではあるまいか。
3 But in those sacrifices there is yearly reminder of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 10:3 しかし実際は、年ごとに、いけにえによって罪の思い出がよみがえって来るのである。
4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 10:4 なぜなら、雄牛ややぎなどの血は、罪を除き去ることができないからである。
5 Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, "Sacrifice and offering you didn't desire, but you prepared a body for me; 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 10:5 それだから、キリストがこの世にこられたとき、次のように言われた、「あなたは、いけにえやささげ物を望まれないで、わたしのために、からだを備えて下さった。
6 You had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin. 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 10:6 あなたは燔祭や罪祭を好まれなかった。
7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.'" 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 10:7 その時、わたしは言った、『神よ、わたしにつき、巻物の書物に書いてあるとおり、見よ、御旨を行うためにまいりました』」。
8 Previously saying, "Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn't desire, neither had pleasure in them" (those which are offered according to the law), 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 10:8 ここで、初めに、「あなたは、いけにえとささげ物と燔祭と罪祭と(すなわち、律法に従ってささげられるもの)を望まれず、好まれもしなかった」とあり、
9 then he has said, "Behold, I have come to do your will." He takes away the first, that he may establish the second, 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10:9 次に、「見よ、わたしは御旨を行うためにまいりました」とある。すなわち、彼は、後のものを立てるために、初めのものを廃止されたのである。
10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 10:10 この御旨に基きただ一度イエス・キリストのからだがささげられたことによって、わたしたちはきよめられたのである。
11 Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins, 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 10:11 こうして、すべての祭司は立って日ごとに儀式を行い、たびたび同じようないけにえをささげるが、それらは決して罪を除き去ることはできない。
12 but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 10:12 しかるに、キリストは多くの罪のために一つの永遠のいけにえをささげた後、神の右に座し、
13 from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet. 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 10:13 それから、敵をその足台とするときまで、待っておられる。
14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 10:14 彼は一つのささげ物によって、きよめられた者たちを永遠に全うされたのである。
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying, 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 10:15 聖霊もまた、わたしたちにあかしをして、
16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them: 'After those days,' says the Lord, 'I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;'" then he says, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 10:16 「わたしが、それらの日の後、彼らに対して立てようとする契約はこれであると、主が言われる。わたしの律法を彼らの心に与え、彼らの思いのうちに書きつけよう」と言い、
17 "I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more." 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 10:17 さらに、「もはや、彼らの罪と彼らの不法とを、思い出すことはしない」と述べている。
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 10:18 これらのことに対するゆるしがある以上、罪のためのささげ物は、もはやあり得ない。
19 Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 10:19 兄弟たちよ。こういうわけで、わたしたちはイエスの血によって、はばかることなく聖所にはいることができ、
20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 10:20 彼の肉体なる幕をとおり、わたしたちのために開いて下さった新しい生きた道をとおって、はいって行くことができるのであり、
21 and having a great priest over the house of God, 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 10:21 さらに、神の家を治める大いなる祭司があるのだから、
22 let's draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water, 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 10:22 心はすすがれて良心のとがめを去り、からだは清い水で洗われ、まごころをもって信仰の確信に満たされつつ、みまえに近づこうではないか。
23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 10:23 また、約束をして下さったのは忠実なかたであるから、わたしたちの告白する望みを、動くことなくしっかりと持ち続け、
24 Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 10:24 愛と善行とを励むように互に努め、
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching. 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 10:25 ある人たちがいつもしているように、集会をやめることはしないで互に励まし、かの日が近づいているのを見て、ますます、そうしようではないか。
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 10:26 もしわたしたちが、真理の知識を受けたのちにもなお、ことさらに罪を犯しつづけるなら、罪のためのいけにえは、もはやあり得ない。
27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries. 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 10:27 ただ、さばきと、逆らう者たちを焼きつくす激しい火とを、恐れつつ待つことだけがある。
28 A man who disregards Moses' law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 10:28 モーセの律法を無視する者が、あわれみを受けることなしに、二、三の人の証言に基いて死刑に処せられるとすれば、
29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 10:29 神の子を踏みつけ、自分がきよめられた契約の血を汚れたものとし、さらに恵みの御霊を侮る者は、どんなにか重い刑罰に価することであろう。
30 For we know him who said, "Vengeance belongs to me," says the Lord, "I will repay." Again, "The Lord will judge his people." 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 10:30 「復讐はわたしのすることである。わたし自身が報復する」と言われ、また「主はその民をさばかれる」と言われたかたを、わたしたちは知っている。
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 10:31 生ける神のみ手のうちに落ちるのは、恐ろしいことである。
32 But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings; 32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; 10:32 あなたがたは、光に照されたのち、苦しい大きな戦いによく耐えた初めのころのことを、思い出してほしい。
33 partly, being exposed to both reproaches and oppressions; and partly, becoming partakers with those who were treated so. 33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. 10:33 そしられ苦しめられて見せ物にされたこともあれば、このようなめに会った人々の仲間にされたこともあった。
34 For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens. 34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. 10:34 さらに獄に入れられた人々を思いやり、また、もっとまさった永遠の宝を持っていることを知って、自分の財産が奪われても喜んでそれを忍んだ。
35 Therefore don't throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. 35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 10:35 だから、あなたがたは自分の持っている確信を放棄してはいけない。その確信には大きな報いが伴っているのである。
36 For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 10:36 神の御旨を行って約束のものを受けるため、あなたがたに必要なのは、忍耐である。
37 "In a very little while, he who comes will come, and will not wait. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 10:37 「もうしばらくすれば、きたるべきかたがお見えになる。遅くなることはない。
38 But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him." 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 10:38 わが義人は、信仰によって生きる。もし信仰を捨てるなら、わたしのたましいはこれを喜ばない」。
39 But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. 10:39 しかしわたしたちは、信仰を捨てて滅びる者ではなく、信仰に立って、いのちを得る者である。

1 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen. 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 11:1 さて、信仰とは、望んでいる事がらを確信し、まだ見ていない事実を確認することである。
2 For by this, the elders obtained testimony. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 11:2 昔の人たちは、この信仰のゆえに賞賛された。
3 By faith, we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 11:3 信仰によって、わたしたちは、この世界が神の言葉で造られたのであり、したがって、見えるものは現れているものから出てきたのでないことを、悟るのである。

5 By faith, Enoch was taken away, so that he wouldn't see death, and he was not found, because God translated him. 8 By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. 15 If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 11:15 もしその出てきた所のことを考えていたなら、帰る機会はあったであろう。
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. 19 concluding that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Figuratively speaking, he also did receive him back from the dead. 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 11:19 彼は、神が死人の中から人をよみがえらせる力がある、と信じていたのである。だから彼は、いわば、イサクを生きかえして渡されたわけである。

1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 12:1 こういうわけで、わたしたちは、このような多くの証人に雲のように囲まれているのであるから、いっさいの重荷と、からみつく罪とをかなぐり捨てて、わたしたちの参加すべき競走を、耐え忍んで走りぬこうではないか。

5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, "My son, don't take lightly the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by him; 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 12:5 また子たちに対するように、あなたがたに語られたこの勧めの言葉を忘れている、「わたしの子よ、主の訓練を軽んじてはいけない。主に責められるとき、弱り果ててはならない。
6 For whom the Lord loves, he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives." 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 12:6 主は愛する者を訓練し、受けいれるすべての子を、むち打たれるのである」。
7 It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father doesn't discipline? 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 12:7 あなたがたは訓練として耐え忍びなさい。神はあなたがたを、子として取り扱っておられるのである。いったい、父に訓練されない子があるだろうか。
8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have been made partakers, then are you illegitimate, and not children. 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 12:8 だれでも受ける訓練が、あなたがたに与えられないとすれば、それこそ、あなたがたは私生子であって、ほんとうの子ではない。
9 Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live? 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 12:9 その上、肉親の父はわたしたちを訓練するのに、なお彼をうやまうとすれば、なおさら、わたしたちは、たましいの父に服従して、真に生きるべきではないか。
10 For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness. 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 12:10 肉親の父は、しばらくの間、自分の考えに従って訓練を与えるが、たましいの父は、わたしたちの益のため、そのきよさにあずからせるために、そうされるのである。
11 All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised thereby. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 12:11 すべての訓練は、当座は、喜ばしいものとは思われず、むしろ悲しいものと思われる。しかし後になれば、それによって鍛えられる者に、平安な義の実を結ばせるようになる。
12 Therefore, lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees, 12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 12:12 それだから、あなたがたのなえた手と、弱くなっているひざとを、まっすぐにしなさい。
13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that which is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. 12:13 また、足のなえている者が踏みはずすことなく、むしろいやされるように、あなたがたの足のために、まっすぐな道をつくりなさい。

15 looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God;lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it; 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; 12:15 気をつけて、神の恵みからもれることがないように、また、苦い根がはえ出て、あなたがたを悩まし、それによって多くの人が汚されることのないようにしなさい。
16 lest there be any sexually immoral person, or profane person, like Esau, who sold his birthright for one meal. 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 12:16 また、一杯の食のために長子の権利を売ったエサウのように、不品行な俗悪な者にならないようにしなさい。
17 For you know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for a change of mind though he sought it diligently with tears. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. 12:17 あなたがたの知っているように、彼はその後、祝福を受け継ごうと願ったけれども、捨てられてしまい、涙を流してそれを求めたが、悔改めの機会を得なかったのである。

20 for they could not stand that which was commanded, "If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned ;" 20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: 12:20 そこでは、彼らは、「けものであっても、山に触れたら、石で打ち殺されてしまえ」という命令の言葉に、耐えることができなかったのである。

25 See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven, 25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 12:25 あなたがたは、語っておられるかたを拒むことがないように、注意しなさい。もし地上で御旨を告げた者を拒んだ人々が、罰をのがれることができなかったなら、天から告げ示すかたを退けるわたしたちは、なおさらそうなるのではないか。
26 whose voice shook the earth then, but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens." 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 12:26 あの時には、御声が地を震わせた。しかし今は、約束して言われた、「わたしはもう一度、地ばかりでなく天をも震わそう」。
27 This phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 12:27 この「もう一度」という言葉は、震われないものが残るために、震われるものが、造られたものとして取り除かれることを示している。
28 Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, 28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 12:28 このように、わたしたちは震われない国を受けているのだから、感謝をしようではないか。そして感謝しつつ、恐れかしこみ、神に喜ばれるように、仕えていこう。

2 Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it. 2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. 13:2 旅人をもてなすことを忘れてはならない。このようにして、ある人々は、気づかないで御使たちをもてなした。
3 Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body. 3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body. 13:3 獄につながれている人たちを、自分も一緒につながれている心持で思いやりなさい。また、自分も同じ肉体にある者だから、苦しめられている人たちのことを、心にとめなさい。
4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. 4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. 13:4 すべての人は、結婚を重んずべきである。また寝床を汚してはならない。神は、不品行な者や姦淫をする者をさばかれる。
5 Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 13:5 金銭を愛することをしないで、自分の持っているもので満足しなさい。主は、「わたしは、決してあなたを離れず、あなたを捨てない」と言われた。
6 So that with good courage we say, "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?" 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. 13:6 だから、わたしたちは、はばからずに言おう、「主はわたしの助け主である。わたしには恐れはない。人は、わたしに何ができようか」。
7 Remember your leaders, men who spoke to you the word of God, and considering the results of their conduct, imitate their faith. 7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. 13:7 神の言をあなたがたに語った指導者たちのことを、いつも思い起しなさい。彼らの生活の最後を見て、その信仰にならいなさい。
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 13:8 イエス・キリストは、きのうも、きょうも、いつまでも変ることがない。
9 Don't be carried away by various and strange teachings, for it is good that the heart be established by grace, not by food, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited. 9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. 13:9 さまざまな違った教によって、迷わされてはならない。食物によらず、恵みによって、心を強くするがよい。食物によって歩いた者は、益を得ることがなかった。
10 We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat. 10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. 13:10 わたしたちには一つの祭壇がある。幕屋で仕えている者たちは、その祭壇の食物をたべる権利はない。
11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp. 11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. 13:11 なぜなら、大祭司によって罪のためにささげられるけものの血は、聖所のなかに携えて行かれるが、そのからだは、営所の外で焼かれてしまうからである。
12 Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate. 12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13:12 だから、イエスもまた、ご自分の血で民をきよめるために、門の外で苦難を受けられたのである。
13 Let us therefore go out to him outside of the camp, bearing his reproach. 13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. 13:13 したがって、わたしたちも、彼のはずかしめを身に負い、営所の外に出て、みもとに行こうではないか。
14 For we don't have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come. 14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 13:14 この地上には、永遠の都はない。きたらんとする都こそ、わたしたちの求めているものである。
15 Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name. 15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 13:15 だから、わたしたちはイエスによって、さんびのいけにえ、すなわち、彼の御名をたたえるくちびるの実を、たえず神にささげようではないか。
16 But don't forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 13:16 そして、善を行うことと施しをすることとを、忘れてはいけない。神は、このようないけにえを喜ばれる。
17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you. 17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. 13:17 あなたがたの指導者たちの言うことを聞きいれて、従いなさい。彼らは、神に言いひらきをすべき者として、あなたがたのたましいのために、目をさましている。彼らが嘆かないで、喜んでこのことをするようにしなさい。そうでないと、あなたがたの益にならない。
18 Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things. 18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. 13:18 わたしたちのために、祈ってほしい。わたしたちは明らかな良心を持っていると信じており、何事についても、正しく行動しようと願っている。
19 I strongly urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you sooner. 19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner. 13:19 わたしがあなたがたの所に早く帰れるため、祈ってくれるように、特にお願いする。
20 Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, 20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 13:20 永遠の契約の血による羊の大牧者、わたしたちの主イエスを、死人の中から引き上げられた平和の神が、
21 make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. 22 But I exhort you, brothers, endure the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words. 22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words. 13:22 兄弟たちよ。どうかわたしの勧めの言葉を受けいれてほしい。わたしは、ただ手みじかに書いたのだから。
23 Know that our brother Timothy has been freed, with whom, if he comes shortly, I will see you. 23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you. 13:23 わたしたちの兄弟テモテがゆるされたことを、お知らせする。もし彼が早く来れば、彼と一緒にわたしはあなたがたに会えるだろう。
24 Greet all of your leaders and all the saints. The Italians greet you. 24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you. 13:24 あなたがたの指導者一同と聖徒たち一同に、よろしく伝えてほしい。イタリヤからきた人々から、あなたがたによろしく。
