| 1 Parole de Yahweh qui fut adressée à Osée, fils de Béeri, dans les jours d’Ozias, de Joatham, d’Achaz, d’Ezéchias, rois de Juda, et dans les jours de Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d’Israël. | 1 The word of Yahweh that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel. | 1 Dies ist das Wort des Herrn, das geschehen ist zu Hosea, dem Sohn Beeris, zu der Zeit des Usia, Jotham, Ahas und Hiskia, der Könige Juda’s, und zur Zeit Jerobeams, des Sohnes Joas, des Königs in Israel. |
| 2 Lorsque Yahweh commença à parler à Osée, Yahweh dit à Osée : " Va, prends une femme de prostitution et des enfants de prostitution, car le pays ne fait que se prostituer en abandonnant Yahweh. | 4 Et Yahweh lui dit : " Nomme-le Jezrahel, car encore un peu de temps et je punirai le sang de Jezrahel sur la maison de Jéhu, et je mettrai fin à la royauté de la maison d’Israël. | 4 Yahweh said to him, “Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease. | 4 Und der Herr sprach zu ihm : Heiße ihn Jesreel ; denn es ist noch um eine kleine Zeit, so will ich die Blutschulden in Jesreel heimsuchen über das Haus Jehu und will mit dem Königreich des Hauses Israel ein Ende machen. |
| 5 En ce jour-là je briserai l’arc d’Israël dans la plaine de Jezrahel. " | 5 It will happen in that day that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.” | 5 Zur selben Zeit will ich den Bogen Israels zerbrechen im Tal Jesreel. |
| 6 Elle conçut encore et enfanta une fille ; et Yahweh dit à Osée : " Nomme-la Lô-Ruchama, car je n’aurai plus compassion de la maison d’Israël pour lui pardonner ses péchés. | 6 She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah; for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them. | 6 Und sie ward abermals schwanger und gebar eine Tochter. Und er sprach zu ihm : Heiße sie Lo-Ruhama ; denn ich will mich nicht mehr über das Haus Israel erbarmen, daß ich ihnen vergäbe. |
| 7 Mais j’aurai compassion de la maison de Juda, et je les sauverai par Yahweh, leur Dieu ; je ne les sauverai ni par l’arc et l’épée, ni par le combat, ni par les chevaux et les cavaliers. " | 7 But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Yahweh their God, and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.” | 7 Doch will ich mich erbarmen über das Haus Juda und will ihnen helfen durch den Herrn, ihren Gott ; ich will ihnen aber nicht helfen durch Bogen, Schwert, Streit, Rosse oder Reiter. |

| 9 Et Yahweh dit à Osée : " Nomme-le Lô-Ammi, car vous n’êtes pas mon peuple, et moi je ne serai pas votre Dieu. " | 9 He said, “Call his name Lo-Ammi; for you are not my people, and I will not be yours. | 9 Und er sprach : Heiße ihn Lo-Ammi ; denn ihr seid nicht mein Volk, so will ich auch nicht der Eure sein. |
| 1 Le nombre des enfants d’Israël sera comme le sable de la mer, qui ne se mesure, ni ne se compte ; et au lieu où on leur disait : " Vous n’êtes pas mon peuple, " on leur dira : " Fils du Dieu vivant ! | 10 Yet the number of the children of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which can’t be measured nor numbered; and it will come to pass that, in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’ | 10 Es wird aber die Zahl der Kinder in Israel sein wie der Sand am Meer, den man weder messen noch zählen kann. Und es soll geschehen an dem Ort, da man zu ihnen gesagt hat : »Ihr seid nicht : »O ihr Kinder des mein Volk«, wird man zu ihnen sagen lebendigen Gottes !« |
| 2 Et les enfants de Juda et les enfants d’Israël se réuniront, ils se donneront un même chef et monteront hors du pays, car grande sera la journée de Jezrahel. | 11 The children of Judah and the children of Israel will be gathered together, and they will appoint themselves one head, and will go up from the land; for great will be the day of Jezreel. | 11 Denn es werden die Kinder Juda und die Kinder Israel zuhauf kommen und werden sich miteinander an ein Haupt halten und aus dem Lande heraufziehen ; denn der Tag Jesreels wird ein großer Tag sein. |

| 4 Plaidez contre votre mère, plaidez ! car elle n’est plus ma femme, et moi je ne suis plus son mari. Qu’elle éloigne de sa face ses prostitutions, et ses adultères du milieu de ses seins, | 2 Contend with your mother! Contend, for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband;and let her put away her prostitution from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts; | 2 Sprecht das Urteil über eure Mutter – sie sei nicht mein Weib, und ich will sie nicht haben ! –, heißt sie ihre Hurerei von ihrem Angesichte wegtun und ihre Ehebrecherei von ihren Brüsten, |
| 5 de peur que je ne la déshabille à nu, et que je ne la mette telle qu’au jour de sa naissance, que je ne la rende pareille au désert, faisant d’elle une terre desséchée, et que je ne la fasse mourir de soif. | 3 Lest I strip her naked, and make her bare as in the day that she was born, and make her like a wilderness,and set her like a dry land, and kill her with thirst. | 3 auf daß ich sie nicht nackt ausziehe und darstelle, wie sie war, da sie geboren ward, und ich sie nicht mache wie ein dürres Land, daß ich sie nicht Durstes sterben lasse |
| 6 Je n’aurai pas compassion de ses enfants, car ce sont des enfants de prostitution. | 4 Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy; for they are children of unfaithfulness; | 4 und mich ihrer Kinder nicht erbarme, denn sie sind Hurenkinder ; |
| 7 Car leur mère s’est prostituée, celle qui les a conçus a fait des choses honteuses ; elle a dit : " J’irai après mes amants, qui me donnent mon pain et mon eau, ma laine et mon lin, mon huile et ma boisson. " | 5 For their mother has played the prostitute. She who conceived them has done shamefully;for she said, ‘I will go after my lovers, who give me my bread and my water,my wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.’ | 5 denn ihre Mutter ist eine Hure, und die sie getragen hat, hält sich schändlich und spricht : Ich will meinen Buhlen nachlaufen, die mir geben Brot, Wasser, Wolle, Flachs, Öl und Trinken. |
| 8 C’est pourquoi voici que je vais fermer ton chemin avec des ronces ; j’élèverai un mur, et elle ne trouvera plus ses sentiers. | 6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she can’t find her way. | 6 Darum siehe, ich will deinen Weg mit Dornen vermachen und eine Wand davorziehen, daß sie ihren Steig nicht finden soll ; |
| 9 Elle poursuivra ses amants et ne les atteindra pas ; elle les cherchera et ne les trouvera pas. Puis elle dira : " J’irai et je retournerai vers mon premier mari, car j’étais plus heureuse alors que maintenant. " | 7 She will follow after her lovers, but she won’t overtake them; and she will seek them,but won’t find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go and return to my first husband;for then was it better with me than now.’ | 7 und wenn sie ihren Buhlen nachläuft, daß sie dich nicht ergreifen, und wenn sie dich sucht, sie nicht finden könne und sagen müsse : Ich will wiederum zu meinem vorigen Mann gehen, da mir besser war, denn mir jetzt ist. |
| 10 Elle n’a pas reconnu que c’est moi qui lui ai donné le froment, le vin nouveau et l’huile, qui lui ai multiplié l’argent et l’or, qu’ils ont employés pour Baal. | 8 For she did not know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, and multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Baal. | 8 Denn sie will nicht wissen, daß ich es sei, der ihr gibt Korn, Most und Öl und ihr viel Silber und Gold gegeben hat, das sie haben Baal zu Ehren gebraucht. |
| 11 C’est pourquoi je reprendrai mon froment en son temps, et mon vin nouveau dans sa saison, et je retirerai ma laine et mon lin, qui servent à couvrir sa nudité. | 9 Therefore I will take back my grain in its time, and my new wine in its season, and will pluck away my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness. | 9 Darum will ich mein Korn und meinen Most wieder nehmen zu seiner Zeit und ihr meine Wolle und meinen Flachs entziehen, damit sie ihre Blöße bedeckt. |
| 12 Et maintenant je découvrirai sa honte, aux yeux de ses amants, et personne ne la dégagera de ma main. | 10 Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of my hand. | 10 Nun will ich ihre Schande aufdecken vor den Augen ihrer Buhlen, und niemand soll sie von meiner Hand erretten. |
| 13 Je ferai cesser toutes ses réjouissances, ses fêtes, ses nouvelles lunes, ses sabbats, et toutes ses solennités. | 11 I will also cause all her celebrations to cease: her feasts, her new moons, her Sabbaths, and all her solemn assemblies. | 11 Und ich will ein Ende machen mit allen ihren Freuden, Festen, Neumonden, Sabbaten und allen ihren Feiertagen. |
| 14 Je dévasterai ses vignes et ses figuiers dont elle disait : " C’est le salaire que m’ont donné mes amants ; " et je les réduirai en forêts, et les bêtes sauvages les dévoreront. | 12 I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, about which she has said, ‘These are my wages that my lovers have given me; and I will make them a forest,’and the animals of the field shall eat them. | 12 Ich will ihre Weinstöcke und Feigenbäume wüst machen, weil sie sagt : »Das ist mein Lohn, den mir meine Buhlen gegeben.« Ich will einen Wald daraus machen, daß es die wilden Tiere fressen sollen. |
| 15 Je la punirai pour les jours des Baals ; auxquels elle offrait de l’encens ; alors qu’elle se parait de son anneau et de son collier et allait après ses amants ; et moi, elle m’oubliait, — oracle de Yahweh. | 13 I will visit on her the days of the Baals, to which she burned incense,when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers,and forgot me,” says Yahweh. | 13 Also will ich heimsuchen über sie die Tage der Baalim, denen sie Räuchopfer tut und schmückt sich mit Stirnspangen und Halsbändern und läuft ihren Buhlen nach und vergißt mein, spricht der Herr . |
| 16 C’est pourquoi, voici que moi je l’attirerai, et la conduirai au désert, et je lui parlerai au cœur ; | 14 “Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness,and speak tenderly to her. | 14 Darum siehe, ich will sie locken und will sie in die Wüste führen und freundlich mit ihr reden. |
| 17 et de là je lui donnerai ses vignes, et la vallée d’Achor comme une porte d’espérance ; et elle répondra là comme aux jours de sa jeunesse, et comme au jour où elle monta hors du pays d’Égypte. | 15 I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope;and she will respond there, as in the days of her youth,and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. | 15 Da will ich ihr geben ihre Weinberge aus demselben Ort und das Tal Achor zum Tor der Hoffnung. Und daselbst wird sie singen wie zur Zeit ihrer Jugend, da sie aus Ägyptenland zog. |
| 18 En ce jour-là, — oracle de Yahweh, tu m’appelleras : " Mon mari ", et tu ne m’appelleras plus : " Mon Baal ". | 16 It will be in that day,” says Yahweh, “that you will call me ‘my husband,’and no longer call me ‘my master.’ | 16 Alsdann spricht der Herr, wirst du mich heißen »mein Mann« und mich nicht mehr »mein Baal« heißen. |
| 19 J’ôterai de sa bouche les noms des Baals, et ils ne seront plus mentionnés par leur nom. | 17 For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and they will no longer be mentioned by name. | 17 Denn ich will die Namen der Baalim von ihrem Munde wegtun, daß man ihrer Namen nicht mehr gedenken soll. |
| 20 Je ferai pour eux un pacte, en ce jour, avec les bêtes sauvages, avec les oiseaux du ciel, et les reptiles de la terre ; je ferai disparaître du pays l’arc, l’épée et la guerre, et je les ferai reposer en sécurité. | 18 In that day I will make a covenant for them with the animals of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and with the creeping things of the ground.I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land, and will make them lie down safely. | 18 Und ich will zur selben Zeit ihnen einen Bund machen mit den Tieren auf dem Felde, mit den Vögeln unter dem Himmel und mit dem Gewürm auf Erden und will Bogen, Schwert und Krieg vom Lande zerbrechen und will sie sicher wohnen lassen. |
| 21 Je te fiancerai à moi pour toujours ; je te fiancerai à moi dans la justice et le jugement, dans la grâce et la tendresse ; | 19 I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion. | 19 Ich will mich mit dir verloben in Ewigkeit ; ich will mich mit dir vertrauen in Gerechtigkeit und Gericht, in Gnade und Barmherzigkeit. |

| 23 Et il arrivera en ce jour, je répondrai, — oracle de Yahweh, je répondrai aux cieux, et eux répondront à la terre ; | 21 It will happen in that day, I will respond,” says Yahweh, “I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth; | 21 Zur selben Zeit, spricht der Herr, will ich erhören, ich will den Himmel erhören und der Himmel soll die Erde erhören, |

| 1 Et Yahweh me dit : " Va encore, et aime une femme qui est aimée d’un amant et adultère : comme Yahweh aime les enfants d’Israël, tandis qu’eux se tournent vers d’autres dieux et aiment les gâteaux de raisin. " | 1 Yahweh said to me, “Go again, love a woman loved by another, and an adulteress, even as Yahweh loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.” | 1 Und der Herr sprach zu mir : Gehe noch einmal hin und buhle um ein buhlerisches und ehebrecherisches Weib, wie denn der Herr um die Kinder Israel buhlt, und sie sich doch zu fremden Göttern kehren und buhlen um eine Kanne Wein. |
| 2 Je l’achetai pour quinze sicles d’argent, un homer d’orge et un léthec d’orge, et je lui dis : | 2 So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a [#N7 homer] and a half of barley. | 2 Und ich ward mit ihr eins um fünfzehn Silberlinge und anderthalb Scheffel Gerste |
| 3 " Pendant de nombreux jours tu me resteras là, tu ne te prostitueras point et tu ne seras à aucun homme, et moi aussi, je ferai de même à ton égard. " | 3 I said to her, “You shall stay with me many days. You shall not play the prostitute, and you shall not be with any other man. I will also be so toward you.” | 3 und sprach zu ihr : Halt dich als die Meine eine lange Zeit und hure nicht und gehöre keinem andern an ; denn ich will mich auch als den Deinen halten. |
| 4 Car pendant de nombreux jours les enfants d’Israël demeureront sans roi et sans chef, sans sacrifice et sans stèle, sans éphod et sans théraphim. | 4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without sacred stone, and without ephod or idols. | 4 Denn die Kinder Israel werden lange Zeit ohne König, ohne Fürsten, ohne Opfer, ohne Altar, ohne Leibrock und ohne Heiligtum bleiben. |
| 5 Après cela les enfants d’Israël se convertiront et chercheront de nouveau Yahweh, leur Dieu, et David, leur roi ; ils reviendront en tremblant vers Yahweh et vers sa bonté, à la fin des jours. | 5 Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek Yahweh their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to Yahweh and to his blessings in the last days. | 5 Darnach werden sich die Kinder Israel bekehren und den Herrn, ihren Gott, und ihren König David suchen und werden mit Zittern zu dem Herrn und seiner Gnade kommen in der letzten Zeit. |

| 1 Écoutez la parole de Yahweh, enfants d’Israël ; car Yahweh a un procès avec les habitants du pays. Car il n’y a ni vérité, ni compassion, ni connaissance de Dieu dans le pays. | 1 Hear Yahweh’s word, you children of Israel, for Yahweh has a charge against the inhabitants of the land:“Indeed there is no truth, nor goodness,nor knowledge of God in the land. | 1 Höret, ihr Kinder Israel, des Herrn Wort ! denn der Herr hat Ursache, zu schelten, die im Lande wohnen ; denn es ist keine Treue, keine Liebe, keine Erkenntnis Gottes im Lande ; |
| 2 On se parjure, on ment, on tue, on vole, on commet l’adultère ; ils font violence, et le sang versé touche le sang versé. | 2 There is cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed. | 2 sondern Gotteslästern, Lügen, Morden, Stehlen und Ehebrechen hat überhandgenommen und eine Blutschuld kommt nach der andern. |
| 3 C’est pourquoi le pays est dans le deuil, et quiconque y habite est sans force, jusqu’aux bêtes des champs et aux oiseaux du ciel ; même les poissons de la mer disparaissent. | 3 Therefore the land will mourn, and everyone who dwells therein will waste away. all living things in her,even the animals of the field and the birds of the sky; yes, the fish of the sea also die. | 3 Darum wird das Land jämmerlich stehen, und allen Einwohnern wird’s übel gehen ; denn es werden auch die Tiere auf dem Felde und die Vögel unter dem Himmel und die Fische im Meer weggerafft werden. |
| 4 Mais que nul ne conteste, et que nul ne réclame ! Car ton peuple est comme ceux qui auraient un procès avec le prêtre. | 4 “Yet let no man bring a charge, neither let any man accuse; For your people are like those who bring charges against a priest. | 4 Doch man darf nicht schelten noch jemand strafen ; denn dein Volk ist wie die, so den Priester schelten. |
| 5 Tu trébucheras pendant le jour, le prophète aussi trébuchera avec toi pendant la nuit ; et je ferai périr ta mère. | 5 You will stumble in the day, and the prophet will also stumble with you in the night; and I will destroy your mother. | 5 Darum sollst du bei Tage fallen und der Prophet des Nachts neben dir fallen ; also will ich deine Mutter zu Grunde richten. |
| 6 Mon peuple périt faute de connaissance ; parce que tu as rejeté la connaissance, je te rejetterai de mon sacerdoce. Tu as oublié la loi de ton Dieu ; moi aussi, j’oublierai tes enfants. | 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me.Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children. | 6 Mein Volk ist dahin, darum daß es nicht lernen will. Denn du verwirfst Gottes Wort ; darum will ich dich auch verwerfen, daß du nicht mein Priester sein sollst. Du vergißt das Gesetz deines Gottes ; darum will ich auch deine Kinder vergessen. |
| 7 Tant qu’ils sont, ils ont péché contre moi ; je changerai leur gloire en ignominie. | 7 As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me. I will change their glory into shame. | 7 Je mehr ihrer wird, je mehr sie wider mich sündigen ; darum will ich ihre Ehre zu Schanden machen. |
| 8 Ils se repaissent des péchés de mon peuple, ils ne désirent que ses iniquités. | 8 They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity. | 8 Sie fressen die Sündopfer meines Volks und sind begierig nach ihren Sünden. |
| 9 Il en sera du prêtre comme du peuple ; je vengerai sur lui ses voies, et je ferai retomber sur lui ses œuvres. | 9 It will be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds. | 9 Darum soll es dem Volk gleich wie dem Priester gehen ; denn ich will ihr Tun heimsuchen und ihnen vergelten, wie sie verdienen, |
| 10 Ils mangeront et ne seront pas rassasiés, ils se prostitueront et ne se multiplieront pas ; car ils ont abandonné Yahweh pour ne plus le servir. | 10 They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned giving to Yahweh. | 10 daß sie werden essen, und nicht satt werden, Hurerei treiben und sich nicht ausbreiten, darum daß sie den Herrn verlassen haben und ihn nicht achten. |
| 11 La luxure, le vin et le moût enlèvent le sens. | 11 Prostitution, wine, and new wine take away understanding. | 11 Hurerei, Wein und Most machen toll. |

C’est pourquoi, si vos filles se prostituent, et si vos jeunes femmes sont adultères, | 13 They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because its shade is good.Therefore your daughters play the prostitute, and your brides commit adultery. | 13 Oben auf den Bergen opfern sie, und auf den Hügeln räuchern sie, unter den Eichen, Linden und Buchen ; denn die haben feinen Schatten. Darum werden eure Töchter auch zu Huren und eure Bräute zu Ehebrechrinnen werden. |

| 18 Dès qu’ils ont fini de boire, ils se livrent à la prostitution ; leurs chefs n’aspirent qu’à l’ignominie. | 18 Their drink has become sour. They play the prostitute continually. Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgment is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah,and a net spread on Tabor. | 1 So hört nun dies, ihr Priester, und merke auf, du Haus Israel, und nimm zu Ohren, du Haus des Königs ! denn es wird eine Strafe über euch gehen, die ihr ein Strick zu Mizpa und ein ausgespanntes Netz zu Thabor geworden seid. |

| 3 Après deux jours, il nous fera revivre ; le troisième jour, il nous relèvera, et nous vivrons devant lui. | 2 After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him. | 2 Er macht uns lebendig nach zwei Tagen ; er wird uns am dritten Tag aufrichten, daß wir vor ihm leben werden. |
Connaissons, appliquons-nous à connaître Yahweh ; son lever est certain comme celui de l’aurore ; et il viendra à nous comme l’ondée, comme la pluie tardive qui arrose la terre. |
3 Let us acknowledge Yahweh. Let us press on to know Yahweh. As surely as the sun rises,Yahweh will appear. | 10 Dans la maison d’Israël j’ai vu des choses horribles ; c’est là qu’Ephraïm se prostitue, qu’Israël s’est souillé. | 10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing. | 1 Quand j’ai voulu guérir Israël, alors s’est révélée l’iniquité d’Ephraïm, et la méchanceté de Samarie ; car ils pratiquent le mensonge ; le voleur pénètre dans la maison, le brigand se répand au dehors. | 1 When I would heal Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered,also the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood,and the thief enters in, and the gang of robbers ravages outside. | 1 Wenn ich Israel heilen will, so findet sich erst die Sünde Ephraims und die Bosheit Samarias, wie sie Lügen treiben und Diebe einsteigen und Räuber draußen plündern ; |
| 2 Et ils ne disent pas en leurs cœurs que je me souviens de toute leur méchanceté. Maintenant leurs forfaits les entourent, ils sont là devant moi. | 2 They don’t consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are burning like an oven that the baker stops stirring,from the kneading of the dough, until it is leavened. | 4 und sind allesamt Ehebrecher gleichwie ein Backofen, den der Bäcker heizt, wenn er hat ausgeknetet und läßt den Teig durchsäuern und aufgehen. |

Leur boulanger a dormi toute la nuit ; le matin, il a été embrasé comme une flamme ardente. | 6 For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait. Tous leur rois sont tombés, sans qu’aucun d’eux ait crié vers moi. | 7 They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges.All their kings have fallen. I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. | 16 Ils se tournent, mais non pas en haut ; ils sont comme un arc trompeur ; leurs chefs tomberont par l’épée à cause de la fureur de leurs langues ; et cela fera rire d’eux au pays d’Égypte. | 16 They return, but not to the Most High. They are like a faulty bow.Their princes will fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue. Something like an eagle is over Yahweh’s house,because they have broken my covenant, and rebelled against my law. | 1 Rufe laut wie eine Posaune : Er kommt über das Haus des Herrn wie ein Adler, darum daß sie meinen Bund übertreten und von meinem Gesetz abtrünnig werden. |
| 2 Ils crient vers moi : " Mon Dieu ! nous t’avons connu, nous, Israël ! " | 2 They cry to me, ‘My God, we Israel acknowledge you!’ | 2 Dann werden sie zu mir schreien : Du bist mein Gott ; wir, Israel, kennen dich ! |

They have made princes, and I didn’t approve. Of their silver and their gold they have made themselves idols,that they may be cut off. | 4 Sie machen Könige, aber ohne mich ; sie setzen Fürsten, und ich darf es nicht wissen. Ephraim has hired lovers for himself. | 9 darum daß sie hinauf zum Assur laufen wie ein Wild in der Irre. Ephraim schenkt den Buhlern und gibt den Heiden Tribut. |
| 10 Même s’ils font des présents aux nations, je les rassemblerai contre eux, et ils trembleront pour un peu de temps, sous le fardeau du roi des princes. | 10 But although they sold themselves among the nations, I will now gather them; and they begin to waste away because of the oppression of the king of mighty ones. | 10 Dieselben Heiden will ich nun über sie sammeln ; sie sollen der Last des Königs der Fürsten bald müde werden. |

Mais eux sont arrivés à Béelphégor ; ils se sont consacrés à l’idole infâme, et sont devenus abominables comme l’objet de leur amour. | 10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. Plus ses fruits étaient abondants, plus il a multiplié les autels ; plus le pays était beau, plus belles ils ont fait les stèles. | 1 Israel is a luxuriant vine that produces his fruit. According to the abundance of his fruit he has multiplied his altars.As their land has prospered, they have adorned their sacred stones. | 1 Israel ist ein ausgebreiteter Weinstock, der seine Frucht trägt. Aber soviel Früchte er hatte, so viel Altäre hatte er gemacht ; wo das Land am besten war, da stifteten sie die schönsten Bildsäulen. |
| 2 Leur cœur est hypocrite : ils vont en porter la peine. Lui, il renversera leurs autels, il détruira leurs stèles. | 2 Their heart is divided. Now they will be found guilty.He will demolish their altars. He will destroy their sacred stones. | 2 Ihr Herz ist zertrennt ; nun wird sie ihre Schuld finden. | 8 Ils seront détruits les hauts lieux d’Aven, péché d’Israël ; l’épine et la ronce monteront sur leurs autels. Ils diront aux montagnes : " Couvrez-nous ! " et aux collines : " Tombez sur nous ! " | 8 The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, will be destroyed. The thorn and the thistle will come up on their altars. Et moi, j’ai fait passer le joug sur son beau cou ; j’attellerai Ephraïm, Juda labourera, Jacob traînera la herse. | 11 Ephraim is a trained heifer that loves to thresh; so I will put a yoke on her beautiful neck. I will set a rider on Ephraim.Judah will plow. Jacob will break his clods. | 11 Ephraim ist ein Kalb, gewöhnt, daß man es gern drischt. | 12 Faites vos semences selon la justice, moissonnez selon la miséricorde, défrichez-vous des terres nouvelles ; il est temps de chercher Yahweh, jusqu’à ce qu’il vienne répandre sur vous la justice. | 12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Tout le jour il accumule le mensonge et la violence ; ils concluent alliance avec Assur, et l’huile est transportée en Égypte. | 1 Ephraim feeds on wind, and chases the east wind.He continually multiplies lies and desolation. They make a covenant with Assyria,and oil is carried into Egypt. | 2 Ephraim weidet sich am Winde und läuft dem Ostwind nach und macht täglich der Abgötterei und des Schadens mehr ; sie machen mit Assur einen Bund und bringen Balsam nach Ägypten. |
| 3 Yahweh a aussi procès avec Juda ; il va châtier Jacob selon ses voies, il lui rendra selon ses œuvres. | 2 Yahweh also has a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways;according to his deeds he will repay him. | 3 Darum wird der Herr mit Juda rechten und Jakob heimsuchen nach seinem Wesen und ihm vergelten nach seinem Verdienst. |

| 5 Il lutta avec l’ange et il eut le dessus ; il pleura et lui demanda grâce ; il le trouva ensuite à Béthel, et là Dieu a parlé avec nous. | 4 Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us, | 5 Er kämpfte mit dem Engel und siegte, denn er weinte und bat ihn ; auch hat er ihn ja zu Beth-El gefunden, und daselbst hat er mit uns geredet. |
| 6 Or Yahweh est le Dieu des armées, son nom est Yahweh. | 5 even Yahweh, the God of Armies; Yahweh is his name of renown! | 6 Aber der Herr ist der Gott Zebaoth ; Herr ist sein Name. |
| 7 Et toi, tu reviendras à ton Dieu ; garde la bonté et la justice, et espère en ton Dieu toujours. | 6 Therefore turn to your God. Keep kindness and justice, and wait continually for your God. | 7 So bekehre dich nun zu deinem Gott, und halte Barmherzigkeit und Recht und hoffe stets auf deinen Gott. |
| 8 Chanaan tient dans sa main une balance fausse, il aime à extorquer. | 7 A merchant has dishonest scales in his hand. He loves to defraud. | 8 Aber Kanaan hat eine falsche Waage in seiner Hand und betrügt gern. |
| 9 Ephraïm dit : " Pourtant je me suis enrichi, je me suis fait une fortune ; dans tous mes gains, on ne trouvera pas pour moi un tort qui soit un péché. " | 8 Ephraim said, “Surely I have become rich, I have found myself wealth.In all my wealth they won’t find in me any iniquity that is sin.” | 9 Und Ephraim spricht : Ich bin reich, ich habe genug ; man wird in aller meiner Arbeit keine Missetat finden, die Sünde sei. |
| 10 Et moi je suis Yahweh, ton Dieu, depuis le pays d’Égypte ; je te ferai encore habiter dans les tentes, comme aux jours de fête. | 9 “But I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt. I will yet again make you dwell in tents,as in the days of the solemn feast. | 10 Ich aber, der Herr, bin dein Gott aus Ägyptenland her, und der dich noch in den Hütten wohnen läßt, wie man zur Festzeit pflegt, |
| 11 Et j’ai parlé aux prophètes, et moi, j’ai multiplié la vision ; et, par l’intermédiaire des prophètes, j’ai parlé en paraboles. | 10 I have also spoken to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions;and by the ministry of the prophets I have used parables. | 11 und rede zu den Propheten ; und ich bin’s, der so viel Weissagung gibt und durch die Propheten sich anzeigt. |
| 12 Si Galaad est vanité, ils ne seront que néant ; à Galgal, ils ont sacrifié des taureaux ; aussi leurs autels seront comme des monceaux de pierres, sur les sillons des champs. | 11 If Gilead is wicked, surely they are worthless.In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field. | 12 In Gilead ist Abgötterei, darum werden sie zunichte ; und in Gilgal opfern sie Ochsen, darum sollen ihre Altäre werden wie die Steinhaufen an den Furchen im Felde. |
| 13 Jacob s’enfuit dans la plaine d’Aram ; Israël servit pour une femme, et pour une femme il garda les troupeaux. | 12 Jacob fled into the country of Aram, and Israel served to get a wife, and for a wife he tended flocks and herds. | 13 Jakob mußte fliehen in das Land Syrien, und Israel mußte um ein Weib dienen, und um ein Weib mußte er hüten. |
| 14 Et par un prophète, Yahweh fit monter Israël hors d’Égypte, et par un prophète il fut gardé. | 13 By a prophet Yahweh brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved. | 14 Aber hernach führte der Herr Israel aus Ägypten durch einen Propheten und ließ ihn hüten durch einen Propheten. |
| 15 Ephraïm a provoqué amèrement la colère divine ; Il laissera tomber son sang sur lui, et son Seigneur lui rendra son outrage. | 14 Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him,and his Lord will repay his contempt. | 15 Nun aber erzürnt ihn Ephraim durch seine Götzen ; darum wird ihr Blut über sie kommen, und ihr Herr wird ihnen vergelten ihre Schmach, die sie ihm antun. |

| 1 Dès qu’Ephraïm parlait, on tremblait ; il s’éleva en Israël. Mais il se rendit coupable par Baal, et il mourut. | 1 When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling. He exalted himself in Israel, but when he became guilty in Baal, he died. | 1 Da Ephraim Schreckliches redete, ward er in Israel erhoben, darnach versündigten sie sich durch Baal und wurden darüber getötet. |
| 2 Et maintenant, ils continuent à pécher ; de leur argent ils ont fait une statue de fonte, des idoles selon leur idée : œuvre d’artisans que tout cela ! On dit d’eux : " Sacrificateurs d’hommes, ils baisent des veaux ! " | 2 Now they sin more and more, and have made themselves molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding,all of them the work of the craftsmen. They say of them, ‘They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calves.’ | 2 Aber nun machen sie der Sünden viel mehr und aus ihrem Silber Bilder, wie sie es erdenken können, nämlich Götzen, welche doch : eitel Schmiedewerk sind. Dennoch predigen sie von denselben Wer die Kälber küssen will, der soll Menschen opfern. |
| 3 C’est pourquoi ils seront comme une nuée du matin, et comme la rosée matinale qui se dissipe, comme la balle que le vent emporte de l’aire, et comme la fumée qui s’en va par la fenêtre. | 3 Therefore they will be like the morning mist, and like the dew that passes away early, like the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing floor,and like the smoke out of the chimney. | 3 Darum werden sie sein wie die Morgenwolke und wie der Tau, der frühmorgens vergeht ; ja, wie die Spreu, die von der Tenne verweht wird, und wie der Rauch von dem Schornstein. |
| 4 Et moi, je suis Yahweh, ton Dieu, depuis le pays d’Égypte ; tu ne connaîtras pas d’autre Dieu que moi, et en dehors de moi il n’y a pas de Sauveur. | 4 “Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me,and besides me there is no savior. | 4 Ich bin aber der Herr, dein Gott, aus Ägyptenland her ; und du solltest ja keinen andern Gott kennen denn mich und keinen Heiland als allein mich. |
| 5 Je t’ai connu dans le désert, dans le pays de la sécheresse. | 5 I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought. | 5 Ich nahm mich ja deiner an in der Wüste, im dürren Lande. |
| 6 Quand ils ont eu leur pâture, ils se sont rassasiés ; ils se sont rassasiés, et leur cœur s’est élevé, et à cause de cela ils m’ont oublié. | 6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted. Therefore they have forgotten me. | 6 Aber weil sie geweidet sind, daß sie satt geworden sind und genug haben, erhebt sich ihr Herz ; darum vergessen sie mein. |
| 7 Je serai pour eux comme un lion, comme une panthère, je les guetterai au bord du chemin. | 7 Therefore I am like a lion to them. Like a leopard, I will lurk by the path. | 7 So will ich auch werden gegen sie wie ein Löwe, und wie ein Parder auf dem Wege will ich auf sie lauern. |
| 8 Je fondrai sur eux comme l’ourse privée de ses petits ; je déchirerai l’enveloppe de leur cœur, et je les dévorerai là comme une lionne ; la bête des champs les mettra en pièces. | 8 I will meet them like a bear that is bereaved of her cubs, and will tear the covering of their heart.There I will devour them like a lioness. The wild animal will tear them. | 8 Ich will ihnen begegnen wie ein Bär, dem seine Jungen genommen sind, und will ihr verstocktes Herz zerreißen und will sie daselbst wie ein Löwe fressen ; die wilden Tiere sollen sie zerreißen. |
| 9 Ce qui te perd. Israël, c’est que tu es contre moi, contre celui qui est ton secours. | 9 You are destroyed, Israel, because you are against me, against your help. | 9 Israel, du bringst dich in Unglück ; denn dein Heil steht allein bei mir. |
| 10 Où donc est ton roi, pour qu’il te sauve dans toutes les villes ? Et où sont tes juges dont tu as dit : " Donne-moi un roi et des princes ? " | 10 Where is your king now, that he may save you in all your cities? And your judges, of whom you said, ‘Give me a king and princes?’ | 10 Wo ist dein König hin, der dir helfen möge in allen deinen ? und deine Richter, von denen du sagtest : Gib mir Könige Städten und Fürsten ? |
| 11 Je te donne un roi dans ma colère, je te le prendrai dans ma fureur. | 11 I have given you a king in my anger, and have taken him away in my wrath. | 11 Wohlan, ich gab dir einen König in meinem Zorn, und will ihn dir in meinem Grimm wegnehmen. |
| 12 L’iniquité d’Ephraïm est liée, son péché est mis en réserve. | 12 The guilt of Ephraim is stored up. His sin is stored up. | 12 Die Missetat Ephraims ist zusammengebunden, und seine Sünde ist behalten. |
| 13 Les douleurs de l’enfantement viennent pour lui ; c’est un enfant dénué de sagesse ; car, le moment venu, il ne se présente pas pour naître. | 13 The sorrows of a travailing woman will come on him. He is an unwise son; for when it is time, he doesn’t come to the opening of the womb. | 13 Denn es soll ihm wehe werden wie einer Gebärerin. Er ist ein unverständig Kind ; denn wenn die Zeit gekommen ist, so will er die Mutter nicht brechen. |
| 14 Je les délivrerai de la puissance du schéol, je les rachèterai de la mort. Où est ta peste, ô mort ? Où est ta destruction, ô schéol ? Le repentir est caché à mes yeux. | 14 I will ransom them from the power of of Sheol[Sheol is the place of the dead]. I will redeem them from death! Death, where are your plagues? Sheol, where is your destruction? “Compassion will be hidden from my eyes. | 14 Aber ich will sie erlösen aus der Hölle und vom Tod erretten. Tod, ich will dir ein Gift sein ; Hölle ich will dir eine Pestilenz sein. Doch ist der Trost vor meinen Augen verborgen. |
| 15 Car Ephraïm fructifiera au milieu de ses frères ! mais le vent d’orient viendra ; le souffle de Yahweh montera du désert ; sa source se desséchera, sa fontaine tarira ; il pillera les trésors de tous les objets précieux. | 15 Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind will come, the breath of Yahweh coming up from the wilderness;and his spring will become dry, and his fountain will be dried up.He will plunder the storehouse of treasure. | 15 Denn wenn er auch zwischen Brüdern Frucht bringt, so wird doch ein Ostwind des Herrn aus der Wüste herauffahren, daß sein Brunnen vertrocknet und seine Quelle versiegt ; und er wird rauben den Schatz alles köstlichen Gerätes. |
| 1 Samarie sera punie, car elle s’est révoltée contre son Dieu ; ils tomberont par l’épée ! Leurs petits enfants seront écrasés, et l’on fendra le ventre de leurs femmes enceintes. | 16 Samaria will bear her guilt; for she has rebelled against her God.They will fall by the sword. | 2 Reviens, Israël, à Yahweh, car tu es tombé par ton iniquité. | 1 Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen because of your sin. | 2 Bekehre dich, Israel, zu dem Herr, deinem Gott ; denn du bist gefallen um deiner Missetat willen. |
| 3 Prenez avec vous des paroles, et revenez à Yahweh ; dites-lui : " Otez toute iniquité et prenez ce qui est bon ! Que nous vous offrions, au lieu de taureaux, les paroles de nos lèvres. | 2 Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him, “Forgive all our sins,and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls. | 3 Nehmt diese Worte mit euch und bekehrt euch zum Herrn und sprecht zu ihm : Vergib uns alle Sünde und tue uns wohl ; so wollen wir opfern die Farren unsrer Lippen. |
| 4 Assur ne nous sauvera pas, nous ne monterons pas sur des chevaux ; et nous ne dirons plus : " Notre Dieu ! " à l’œuvre de nos mains. O vous, en qui l’orphelin trouve compassion ! | 3 Assyria can’t save us. | 6 Je serai comme la rosée pour Israël ; il croîtra comme le lis, il poussera ses racines comme le Liban. | 5 I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily,and send down his roots like Lebanon. | 6 Ich will Israel wie ein Tau sein, daß er soll blühen wie eine Rose, und seine Wurzeln sollen ausschlagen wie der Libanon |
| 7 Ses rejetons s’étendront, sa gloire sera comme celle de l’olivier, et son parfum comme celui du Liban. | 6 His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree,and his fragrance like Lebanon. | 7 und seine Zweige sich ausbreiten, daß er sei schön wie ein Ölbaum, und soll so guten Geruch geben wie der Libanon. |
| 8 Ceux qui viendront se reposer à son ombre feront revivre le froment ; ils croîtront comme la vigne ; son nom sera comme le vin du Liban. | 7 Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain,and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon. | 8 Und sie sollen wieder unter einem Schatten sitzen ; von Korn sollen sie sich nähren und blühen wie der Weinstock ; sein Gedächtnis soll sein wie der Wein am Libanon. |
| 9 Ephraïm… qu’aurait-il encore à faire avec les idoles ? C’est moi qui lui réponds, qui le regarde ; je suis comme un cyprès verdoyant ; c’est de moi que procède ton fruit. | 8 Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree;from me your fruit is found.” | 9 Ephraim, was sollen mir weiter die Götzen ? Ich will ihn erhören und führen ; ich will sein wie eine grünende Tanne ; an mir soll man deine Frucht finden. |
| 10 Celui qui est sage, qu’il comprenne ces choses, celui qui est intelligent, qu’il les reconnaisse ! Car les voies de Yahweh sont droites; les justes y marcheront, mais les rebelles y tomberont. | 9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Yahweh are right, and the righteous walk in them;But the rebellious stumble in them. | 10 Wer ist weise, der dies verstehe, und klug, der dies merke ? Denn die Wege des Herrn sind richtig, und die Gerechten wandeln darin ; aber die Übertreter fallen darin. |
